Essential Responsibilities and Duties

The Captain is entrusted with the comprehensive, safe, and prudent operation of the Gulfstream G550 aircraft. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Responsible for the safe operation of the Gulfstream G550 aircraft during all phases of flight.
• Conducting flights in strict accordance with the policies and procedures of Solairus Aviation and all applicable Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs).
• Ensuring the safety and well-being of all passengers, crew, and the aircraft.
• Performing a complete check of weather and facilities, including alternate airports, along the projected route of flight.
• Reviewing the maintenance status of the aircraft prior to departure.
• Conducting a proper pre-flight inspection in strict accordance with the approved Aircraft Flight Manual.
• Ensuring the accurate completion of all required trip paperwork and documentation per current procedures.

Minimum Qualifications and Flight Hour Requirements

Candidates must meet or exceed the following stringent flight time requirements:

• Total Time: 3,000 hours
• Pilot in Command (PIC): 1,500 hours
• Multi-Engine Land (MEL): 1,500 hours
• Multi-Engine Land PIC (MEL PIC): 500 hours
• Time in Turbo Jet Aircraft: 500 hours
• Instrument Time: 250 hours

Specific Qualifications and Certifications

• Must possess a current type rating on the Gulfstream G550 or a comparable aircraft.
• A valid First Class Medical Certificate is mandatory.
• The ability to work efficiently on an on-call basis is required.
• Must be able to successfully complete ICAO International procedures training annually.
• Primary residence must be established within a two-hour drive from KOAK, or the candidate must be willing to relocate to the Oakland metropolitan area.

Compensation Information

Solairus collects salary range information based on dynamic market conditions from multiple industry sources. Solairus crewmembers are compensated between $50,000 and $500,000 annually. Compensation is determined based on factors including geographic area, comprehensive experience, equipment type/aircraft flown, complexity of job duties, required training, and the specifics of the assigned client account.
