Position Overview
Executive Jet Management is actively seeking a highly qualified Pilot in Command (PIC) to join its esteemed team, operating a G550 aircraft based at St. Paul's Holman Field (STP). This position is part of a four-pilot crew account, primarily conducting Part 91 operations with a focus on domestic destinations, supplemented by a select number of international trips annually. The flight department is further supported by two dedicated Maintenance Technicians, ensuring operational efficiency and aircraft readiness. This role is not commutable and requires the successful candidate to reside within a one-hour driving radius of STP Airport.
The Pilot in Command is entrusted with the ultimate responsibility for ensuring the aircraft is operated in a safe, compliant, and efficient manner at all times. This includes adhering to all company and regulatory requirements while simultaneously delivering an unparalleled service experience to passengers.
Key Responsibilities and Tasks
Ensuring the Safe Operation of Flight:
- Verifies that all crewing and trip assignments strictly comply with company policies and regulatory mandates.
- Completes all necessary flight planning, performance calculations, and weight and balance tasks for each assignment.
- Leverages the Threats, Plans, and Considerations (TPC) briefing methodology to conduct essential briefings and proactively mitigate operational risks.
- Adheres to company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and effectively coordinates with all relevant company personnel. Assumes the roles of Grounds Security and In-Flight Security Coordinator as defined by company policy.
- Performs all required aircraft pre-flight tasks, thoroughly assessing the maintenance status of the aircraft to confirm its mission capability. Documents all aircraft discrepancies in strict accordance with company SOPs.
- Monitors and ensures all aircraft ground servicing requirements, such as fueling and fluid replenishment, are executed in accordance with SOPs.
- Conducts passenger briefings in compliance with company policy and regulations, prioritizing the delivery of the highest level of customer service and accommodating any special passenger needs, including those with physical challenges.
- Employs Crew Resource Management (CRM) and Threat and Error Management (TEM) principles to foster clear and timely communication with crew and support personnel during normal, abnormal, and emergency operations.
Delivering an Exceptional Service Experience:
- Provides superior service to aircraft owners and passengers, actively identifying opportunities to enhance the EJM service experience. Investigates and resolves service deviations effectively and promptly.
- Collaborates seamlessly with fellow crew members and EJM internal partners to ensure a consistently high level of service for owners and passengers. Manages and resolves conflicts and challenges in an acceptable and professional manner.
Maintaining Proficiency and Compliance:
- Ensures all required regulatory and company training and recency of experience requirements are maintained.
- Complies with the company's Safety Management System (SMS) program and diligently reports any safety or non-compliance concerns through the established appropriate channels.
Qualifications and Requirements
Certifications and Licenses:
- FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP)
- First Class Medical Certificate
Experience:
- 4-6 years of relevant aviation experience
- Prior experience in corporate or business aviation is highly preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other (KSAOs):
- FAA Type rating in the applicable fleet (G550).
- Must possess the ability to perform all essential functions of the position.
- Minimum Time Requirements:
- Total Flight Time: 3,500 hours
- Multi-Engine Land (MEL): 1,500 hours
- Pilot in Command (PIC): 2,000 hours
- PIC MEL: 500 hours
- Instrument: 300 hours
- Jet: 500 hours
