Corporate Flight Attendant

Solairus Aviation seeks a dedicated and highly skilled full-time Flight Attendant to join its team, based at KSAT. This individual will demonstrate exceptional teamwork, flexibility, and a proactive approach to providing superior, around-the-clock service to passengers. A passion for culinary arts and significant culinary experience are essential, with advanced culinary training being strongly preferred.

The Flight Attendant will be responsible for ensuring the safety and comfort of all passengers throughout each flight. Responsibilities include welcoming passengers, providing clear safety briefings, and delivering top-tier food and beverage service.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Deliver a superior level of service to clients, prioritizing the safety and comfort of all passengers.
  • Provide clear guidance and assistance to passengers during emergency situations.
  • Administer basic first aid, including CPR, AED, and general first aid, to passengers in need.
  • Secure the cabin in full compliance with all federal regulations prior to both takeoff and landing.
  • Provide reassurance to passengers during turbulence or other unsettling circumstances.
  • Conduct comprehensive pre-flight briefings with all passengers.
  • Ensure that all necessary supplies, including food, beverages, blankets, reading materials, and emergency equipment, are on board and sufficient for the flight and number of passengers.
  • Procure items specially requested by passengers for their flight experience.
  • Thoroughly inspect, clean, and restock the cabin, galley, lavatories, and flight deck after each flight leg, ensuring the aircraft is prepared and well-maintained for the next flight.
  • Conduct regular cabin checks to ensure passenger comfort and a consistently clean environment.
  • Complete all required pre-flight, in-flight, and post-flight documentation accurately.
  • Operate all audio and video systems effectively.

Qualifications:

  • Comprehensive knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations.
  • Current First Aid Training Certification.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Corporate Flight Attendant.
  • Completion of flight attendant-specific training from FlightSafety, FACTs, or a similar reputable provider is highly preferred; annual recurrent training is required.
    • Candidates without formal flight attendant training may be considered based on other qualifications, but must complete initial flight attendant training prior to any flight assignment.
    • Preference will be given to candidates who have completed FlightSafety, FACTs, or similar training within the last 12 months.
  • Demonstrated technological proficiency.
  • Exceptional flexibility and patience.
  • Strong culinary skills and relevant culinary training.
  • Ability to effectively manage a dynamic schedule, including late-night flights.
  • Availability to fly on short notice, with a 2-3 hour response time if on standby.
  • Unrestricted ability to travel internationally (considering health and visa status).
  • Ability to deploy for up to 16 consecutive days.
  • Proficiency in the operation of all features of Cabin Management Systems.
  • Proficiency in the operation of all galley equipment.
  • Proficiency in the operation of all cabin features, including berthing seats and configuring the divan into a bed.
  • Superior interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • A college degree is preferred.
  • Fluency in one or more foreign languages is preferred.
  • Experience working with small children is preferred.

Specific Qualifications and Certifications:

  • Vision must be correctable to 20/20 or better with glasses or contact lenses, and uncorrected vision should be no worse than 20/20. The individual must be able to read reports and charts, manage post-flight paperwork, and operate a computer, smartphone, or iPad.
  • Must possess clear speaking abilities and sufficient hearing to communicate effectively over the phone and in person with clients, colleagues, and pilots, even during flight.
  • Must be physically capable of standing and walking without assistance, for up to 14 hours with limited opportunities to sit, and able to work long hours in varying climates.
  • Must be able to kneel in the luggage compartment to load supplies and luggage, and maneuver within the tight confines of the aircraft.
  • Must be able to open and close the main cabin door, which weighs up to 130 pounds, write, type, operate a computer and phone, and prepare and serve food and beverages. Must be capable of lifting supplies weighing approximately 25 to 30 pounds from floor level to waist level repeatedly.

Solairus Aviation uses market-based salary data from multiple industry sources. Compensation ranges from $50,000 to $500,000, dependent upon factors such as geographic location, experience, aircraft type, job duties, training, and assigned account.
