Corporate Flight Attendant

Solairus Aviation seeks a dedicated and highly skilled Full-Time Flight Attendant to join its team, based at KSAT. This individual will be a flexible and collaborative team member, prepared to undertake diverse responsibilities to ensure the delivery of outstanding service to passengers at all times. A strong culinary background and a passion for food are essential, with advanced culinary training highly desired. The role necessitates providing exceptional personal attention to guarantee passenger safety and comfort throughout each flight. Primary duties include welcoming passengers, demonstrating the proper use of safety equipment, and providing food and beverage service.

Essential Responsibilities:

The Flight Attendant will deliver superior client service, ensuring passenger safety and comfort during all phases of flight. This includes directing and assisting passengers during emergencies, administering basic first aid, including CPR, AED, and standard first aid protocols, to passengers in distress. The individual must secure the cabin in accordance with all federal regulations prior to takeoff and landing, and offer reassurance to passengers during turbulent or other potentially unsettling events. Additional responsibilities include conducting preflight briefings, ensuring that all necessary food, beverages, blankets, reading materials, emergency equipment, and other supplies are present and sufficient for the flight and passenger manifest. The Flight Attendant is responsible for shopping for any items specially requested by passengers for their flight, and ensuring the cabin, galley, lavatories, and flight deck are inspected, cleaned, and properly stocked after each flight segment, maintaining aircraft readiness for subsequent flights. They will conduct periodic cabin checks to ensure passenger comfort and cleanliness, complete all pre-flight, in-flight, and post-flight documentation, and operate onboard audio and video systems.

Qualifications:

Candidates must possess in-depth knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations and hold current First Aid Training Certification. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Corporate Flight Attendant is required. Flight attendant-specific training from FlightSafety, FACTs, or similar institutions is preferred; annual recurrent training is mandatory. Candidates without formal flight attendant training may be considered based on other relevant qualifications but will be required to attend initial flight attendant training before being assigned to a flight. Preference will be given to candidates who have completed FlightSafety, FACTs, or similar training within the past 12 months. The successful candidate will be technologically adept, possess flexibility and patience, demonstrate exceptional culinary skills and possess specific culinary training. They must be able to effectively manage a constantly changing schedule, including late-night flights and be available to fly on short notice (2-3 hour response for standby). The candidate must have unrestricted ability to travel worldwide, considering health and visa status and be able to deploy for up to 16 consecutive days. They will be capable of operating all aspects of the Cabin Management Systems, all galley equipment, and all cabin features, such as berthing seats and configuring the divan into a bed. Outstanding interpersonal and customer service skills, along with a high degree of attention to detail are essential. A college degree is preferred, and the ability to speak one or more foreign languages fluently is also desired. Experience working with small children is a plus.

Specific Qualifications/Certifications:

Vision must be correctable to 20/20 or better with glasses or contact lenses, with uncorrected vision no worse than 20/20. The Flight Attendant must possess the ability to read reports, charts, manage post-flight paperwork, and utilize computer, smartphone, and/or iPad devices effectively. The individual must be able to speak clearly and possess adequate hearing to communicate effectively over the phone and in person with clients, coworkers, and pilots, even when the aircraft is in flight. Physical capabilities include the ability to walk and stand without assistance for extended periods (up to 14 hours with limited opportunities to sit), and work long hours in diverse climates. They must be able to kneel in the luggage compartment to load trip supplies and luggage and maneuver within the aircraft’s tight confinements. Must be able to push open/pull closed the main cabin door, weighing up to 130 pounds and have the ability to write, type, use a computer, a phone, and prepare/cook and serve food and beverages. The individual must be able to repeatedly lift supplies weighing approximately 25 to 30 pounds, from floor level to waist level.
