George J. Priester Aviation, a premier provider of private aviation services distinguished by a commitment to safety, excellence, and client satisfaction, seeks a highly skilled and experienced Captain to join its dynamic team. This individual will serve as Pilot in Command (PIC) on a Challenger 604 within a three-pilot flight department based in Pontiac, MI, operating approximately 350 hours annually. The ideal candidate will be engaging, cooperative, and a proactive team member dedicated to supporting the needs of the aircraft owner, possessing a strong safety focus and a solution-oriented approach.

Essential Responsibilities:

The Captain will ensure adherence to Priester Aviation policies and procedures, and that all flight operations comply with applicable regulations and operating manuals. They will provide professional and courteous interactions with the Owner/Client and vendor/support personnel, demonstrating excellent personal presentation and service-based conduct while employing solution-based decision-making. They will actively participate in the Safety Management System (SMS), seeking to enhance efficiencies within flight operations, and communicating suggested system and process improvements to Priester Leadership. The Captain will ensure accurate and timely communication of flight schedules and updates with Flight Services, proactively identify and communicate operational issues to the Team Leader, and enhance the image and goodwill of Priester Aviation within the industry.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5,000 total flight hours.
  • 2,500 hours as Pilot in Command (PIC).
  • 2,500 hours multi-engine land, with 1,500 hours as multi-engine PIC.
  • 2,000 hours in turbine aircraft, with 500 hours of instrument time.
  • Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate with multi-engine land rating.
  • Current First-Class Medical Certificate.
  • Strong knowledge of FAA regulations, flight planning, and safety management systems.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the capacity to make sound decisions under pressure.
  • Proficiency in the use of flight planning and aviation management software.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • FCC Restricted Radiotelephone Operator’s Permit.
  • Previous experience in Part 135 operations.

This is an exempt position requiring flexibility to meet the demands of the business.
