Solairus Aviation seeks a dedicated and highly skilled Full-Time Flight Attendant to join its operations based at KSAT. This individual will be a flexible and proactive team member, committed to providing superior, around-the-clock service to passengers. A passion for culinary arts is essential, with advanced culinary training strongly preferred. This role demands the provision of exceptional personal services, ensuring the utmost safety and comfort of passengers throughout all flights. Responsibilities encompass greeting passengers, demonstrating the correct use of safety equipment, and providing impeccable food and beverage service.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Deliver a high standard of service to all clients, prioritizing passenger safety and comfort during flights.
  • Direct and assist passengers effectively during emergency situations.
  • Administer basic first aid, including CPR, AED, and general first aid procedures, to passengers in need. Secure the cabin in full compliance with federal regulations prior to both takeoff and landing. Reassure passengers during instances of turbulence or other potentially unsettling situations.
  • Conduct thorough preflight briefings.
  • Confirm that all necessary provisions, including food, beverages, blankets, reading materials, emergency equipment, and other essential supplies, are on board and sufficient for the duration of the trip and number of passengers.
  • Procure items specifically requested by passengers for their flight.
  • Inspect, clean, and meticulously restock the cabin, galley, lavatories, and flight deck after each flight leg. Ensure that the aircraft is consistently prepared for flight, impeccably clean, and fully stocked.
  • Conduct regular cabin checks to ensure optimal passenger comfort and cleanliness. Complete all pre-flight, in-flight, and post-flight documentation accurately.
  • Operate all audio and video systems effectively.

Qualifications:

  • Comprehensive knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations. Possess valid First Aid Training Certification.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Corporate Flight Attendant is required.
  • Flight attendant-specific training from accredited institutions such as FlightSafety, FACTs, or similar is preferred, with annual recurrent training mandatory. Must be technologically proficient. Candidates without formal flight attendant training may be considered based on other qualifications, but must complete initial flight attendant training prior to any flight assignment. Preference will be given to candidates who have completed FlightSafety, FACTs, or similar training within the past 12 months.
  • Demonstrated flexibility and patience are essential.
  • Possess strong culinary skills and specific culinary training.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a constantly changing schedule and accommodate late-night flights.
  • Must be available to fly on short notice, with a 2-3 hour response time if on standby.
  • Unrestricted ability to travel worldwide is required, considering health and visa status.
  • Must be able to deploy for up to 16 consecutive days.
  • Competent in the operation of all features of Cabin Management Systems.
  • Skilled in the operation of all galley equipment.
  • Proficient in operating all cabin features, including the configuration of berthing seats and divans into beds.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills are paramount.
  • A high level of attention to detail is essential.
  • A college degree is preferred.
  • Fluency in one or more foreign languages is highly desirable.
  • Prior experience working with small children is advantageous.

Specific Qualifications/Certifications:

  • Vision: Correctable to 20/20 or better with glasses or contact lenses. Uncorrected vision should be no worse than 20/20. Must be capable of reading reports, charts, managing post-flight paperwork, and using computer, smartphone, and/or iPad devices.
  • Hearing/Speaking: Must possess clear speaking ability and adequate hearing to communicate effectively over the phone and in person with clients, co-workers, and pilots, including during flight.
  • Physical: Must be physically capable of walking and standing without assistance. Must be able to stand for up to 14 hours with limited sitting opportunities. Must be able to work extended hours in varying climates. Must be able to kneel in the luggage compartment to load trip supplies and luggage, and maneuver within the tight confines of the aircraft.
  • Strength: Must be able to open/close the main cabin door, which may weigh up to 130 pounds. Must be able to write, type, use computers and phones, and prepare, cook, and serve food and beverages. Must be able to lift supplies weighing approximately 25 to 30 pounds, repeatedly, from floor level to waist height.

Solairus Aviation utilizes market data from multiple industry sources to determine salary ranges. Compensation for Solairus crew members ranges from $50,000 to $500,000, based on geographic area, experience, aircraft type, job duties, training, and the assigned account.
