The Captain is responsible for the safe operation of the Challenger 604 aircraft. This includes conducting flights in a safe and prudent manner, adhering to all applicable regulations and company policies. Specific responsibilities include: reviewing aircraft maintenance status; performing thorough pre-flight inspections in accordance with the Aircraft Flight Manual; meticulously checking weather conditions, facilities, and alternate airports; ensuring compliance with Solairus Aviation procedures and Federal Aviation Regulations; ensuring the safety of all passengers, crew, and the aircraft; and accurately completing all trip paperwork according to current procedures.
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications: a minimum of 3000 hours total flight time; 1500 hours Pilot-in-Command (PIC) time; 1500 hours Multi-Engine Land (MEL) time; 500 hours MEL PIC time; 500 hours in Turbo Jet aircraft; and 250 hours of instrument time. Specific qualifications also include being type-rated on the Challenger 604 or a comparable aircraft; holding a current First Class medical certificate; availability to work on an on-call basis; completion of annual ICAO International procedures training; and having a primary residence within a two-hour drive of KBED or willingness to relocate.
Solairus Aviation offers a competitive salary range of $50,000 to $500,000, commensurate with geographic location, experience, aircraft type, job duties, training, and the assigned account, based on data from multiple industry sources.
