Lead Pilot in Command - Challenger 604
Executive Jet Management, a subsidiary of NetJets and a Berkshire Hathaway company, seeks a highly qualified and experienced Lead Pilot in Command for a Challenger 604 aircraft. This is a long-term, desirable account based at Teterboro Airport (KTEB) in Teterboro, New Jersey.
This position offers an exceptional quality of life with a 3-pilot flight department, ensuring manageable schedules, and domestic-only flights. The operation is Part 91, supported by a dedicated Maintenance Technician, and flies approximately 400 hours annually. A dedicated Key Account Manager serves as the primary liaison with the owner.
The Lead Pilot in Command will serve as a peer leader within the flight department, emphasizing effective crew resource management, exceptional client service, and the diligent completion of administrative duties. This individual actively participates in the flying schedule while adhering to all Pilot in Command responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
- Manages client relationships, balancing client needs with EJM's operational requirements.
- Collaborates with maintenance personnel to ensure compliance with all scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance.
- Completes administrative duties related to the aircraft owner/account, including invoice reviews, vendor relations, and crew scheduling.
- Supports flight department crew members, fostering a clear understanding of expectations and motivating the team to achieve departmental goals.
- Handles flight department administrative matters, including supplies, subscriptions, and crew communication.
- Ensures flight operations adhere to company and regulatory requirements.
- Completes flight planning, performance calculations, and weight and balance tasks.
- Leads briefings using Threats, Plans, and Considerations (TPC) methodology to mitigate operational risks.
- Complies with company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and acts as the Ground Security and In-Flight Security Coordinator.
- Completes thorough pre-flight inspections to ensure mission readiness.
- Monitors and manages aircraft ground servicing items.
- Delivers passenger briefings in accordance with regulations and company policy, providing exceptional customer service.
- Utilizes Crew Resource Management (CRM) and Threat and Error Management (TEM) to facilitate clear communication during all phases of flight.
- Identifies opportunities to enhance the EJM service experience.
- Maintains proficiency through regulatory and company-required training.
- Complies with the company's Safety Management System (SMS).
- Ensures crewmember qualifications and compliance with company policies.

Qualifications:
- Prior experience in corporate/business aviation is preferred.
- FAA Type rating in Challenger 604 aircraft is required.
- Must be able to perform the essential job functions.
- Minimum Flight Time Requirements:
- Total Flight Time: 3500 hours
- Multi-Engine Land (MEL): 1500 hours
- Pilot in Command (PIC): 2000 hours
- PIC MEL: 500 hours
- Instrument: 300 hours
- Jet: 500 hours
