Second in Command - Challenger 604/605 (Full-time, Miami, FL)
Position Overview
Jet Linx is seeking qualified Second in Command (SIC) candidates for its Heavy jet aircraft operations, adhering to Part 91 and 135 flight regulations. The SIC will report directly to the Base Chief Pilot, contributing to the safe and efficient operation of company aircraft in strict accordance with Federal Aviation Regulations and company procedures.
Candidates must reside in or be willing to relocate to the Miami, FL base area, ensuring they can be within a 2-hour call-out time of the aircraft.
Minimum Flight Hour Requirements
- Total Time: 2500 hours
- Total Pilot in Command (PIC) Time: 500 hours
- Total Multi-Engine Time: 500 hours
- Total Turbine Time: 100 hours
- Total Instrument Time: 150 hours
Essential Job Functions
- Manage duty, flight, and rest times according to company and Federal Aviation Regulations (CFRs).
- Maintain consistent communication with the company regarding standby duty assignments, trip notifications, position updates, and pre/post-flight reporting.
- Maintain and manage Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) hardware and applications.
- Ensure the currency of navigation charts, publications, and company manuals.
- Hold and maintain a current 1st Class Medical Certificate.
- Exhibit strong, proactive decision-making skills.
- Demonstrate Jet Linx's core values in all professional interactions.
Additional Qualifications and Requirements
- Possess an Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate (unrestricted).
- Hold a current 1st Class Medical Certificate.
- Possess a Restricted Radiotelephone Operator Permit (FCC).
- Initial or recurrent 142 training in type within the last 24 months is preferred.
- Ability to obtain a U.S. driver's license.
- Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
- Possess a current passport.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and comply with random drug and alcohol testing protocols.
- Unrestricted ability to travel to all EU, Canada, and Caribbean countries.
- Ability to successfully complete and pass an FAA Pilot Record Database (PRD) review with a System Chief Pilot.
- Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as operational needs dictate.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience is required.
- Physical requirements include performing the majority of work in and around aircraft and aircraft terminals and the ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Compensation and Benefits
Jet Linx offers a competitive compensation and benefits package. The starting base annual salary for this position ranges from $135,000 to $170,000, with the actual salary determined by geographic location, aircraft size, relevant education, training, and experience. The comprehensive benefits package includes health, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan with a 6% company match, paid time off, and company-paid life and short-term disability coverage.
