Flight Attendant

The primary responsibility of a SkyWest Flight Attendant is ensuring passenger safety and comfort throughout the flight. This involves delivering outstanding customer service, attending to passenger needs, and serving in-flight refreshments. Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the safety and comfort of passengers onboard the aircraft.
- Cultivate a positive and productive work environment with both colleagues and customers.
- Prepare, serve, and restock in-flight beverages, meals, and snacks, including the sale of onboard liquor and food.
- Greet passengers, assist with carry-on baggage, and deliver onboard announcements.
- Provide effective leadership, direction, and assistance during emergency and non-emergency situations.
- Calmly manage passenger situations during flight, including instances of unruly behavior and medical emergencies.
- Ensure adherence to safety regulations by inspecting and safely operating aircraft cabin components, systems, and emergency equipment.
- Adhere to established procedures and performance standards independently.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Must possess a current, valid U.S. or foreign passport, valid for at least 12 months from the application date, and any necessary visas to travel between the United States, Canada, Mexico, and the Bahamas prior to training commencement.
- Excellent English communication skills required for delivering safety information and writing clear reports related to irregular, emergency, and security events.
- Proficiency in using basic functions of electronic devices to operate audio/video systems, track in-flight purchases, and complete other flight and training related duties.
- Ability to work varied shifts up to 16 hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Must be able to travel frequently and spend extended periods of time alone and without supervision.
- Must be reliable and punctual.
- Willing to relocate to one of the company's crew domiciles after successful completion of training: Atlanta, GA; Boise, ID; Chicago, IL; Colorado Springs, CO; Dallas/Fort Worth, TX; Denver, CO; Detroit, MI; Fresno, CA; Houston, TX; Los Angeles, CA; Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN; Palm Springs, CA; Phoenix, AZ; Portland, OR; Salt Lake City, UT; San Diego, CA; San Francisco, CA; Seattle, WA; and Tucson, AZ.
Physical and Other Requirements:
- Height and weight must allow for safe operation of the aircraft (height between 5'0" to 6'0" without shoes).
- Must be physically capable of performing tasks requiring frequent walking, bending, and reaching, including opening emergency exits, closing aircraft doors (up to 45 lbs), pushing and pulling beverage carts (up to 250 lbs), and lifting items.
- Corrected vision not exceeding 20/40.
- Normal or corrected hearing within 15-17kHz range.
- Professional, neat, and clean appearance.
- No extreme hairstyles or colors.
- Limited piercings and tattoos are permitted with restrictions.
- Must wear a company-issued uniform and compliant face mask.
Compensation:
- Guaranteed 76 flight hours per month as a reserve after initial training completion.
- Starting pay of $28.86 per flight hour, equivalent to a minimum gross monthly compensation of $2,193.36.
- Per diem of $2.25 per hour for all time on duty away from the domicile.
