Position Overview: Flight Attendant
SkyWest Airlines, the largest independently owned regional airline, is seeking dedicated professionals to join their team. As a primary representative of the airline, the Flight Attendant is responsible for maintaining the highest standards of operational safety, professionalism, and exceptional customer service in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Primary Responsibilities

Ensure the safety and comfort of all passengers throughout every flight.

Prepare, serve, and restock in-flight beverages, meals, and snacks, and process onboard sales.

Greet passengers, facilitate efficient boarding, manage carry-on baggage stowage, and provide cabin announcements.

Provide clear leadership and direction during emergency and non-emergency situations.

Resolve passenger conflicts and handle medical emergencies with composure.

Ensure regulatory compliance by inspecting and operating aircraft cabin systems and emergency equipment, including escape slides, fire extinguishers, and AEDs.

Maintain a positive, productive, and respectful work environment.

Adhere to all operational procedures and performance standards independently.
Candidate Requirements

Minimum 21 years of age.

High school diploma or equivalency.

Possession of a current, valid U.S. or foreign passport (valid for at least 12 months) and necessary visas for travel between the U.S., Canada, Mexico, and the Bahamas.

Excellent English communication skills, including the ability to provide safety briefings and write detailed, factual incident reports.

Proficiency with electronic devices and Personal Electronic Devices (PEDs) for training and flight duties.

Willingness to work varied shifts up to 16 hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Ability to travel frequently and work independently without supervision.

Reliability, punctuality, and willingness to relocate to a company-assigned crew domicile (Atlanta, GA; Austin, TX; Boise, ID; Chicago, IL; Colorado Springs, CO; Dallas/Fort Worth, TX; Denver, CO; Detroit, MI; Fresno, CA; Houston, TX; Los Angeles, CA; Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN; Palm Springs, CA; Phoenix, AZ; Portland, OR; Salt Lake City, UT; San Diego, CA; San Francisco, CA; Seattle, WA; Tucson, AZ).
Physical and Appearance Standards

Height must be between 5’0” and 6’0” (without shoes) to ensure safe operation of aircraft exits and jump seats.

Physical ability to walk frequently, reach above shoulder level, bend below ankle level, open/close aircraft doors (up to 45 lbs), and maneuver beverage carts (up to 250 lbs).

Corrected vision no worse than 20/40; hearing range within 15-17kHZ.

Professional, neat, and clean appearance; strict adherence to grooming and tattoo coverage policies as defined by company standards.
Compensation and Benefits

Starting pay of $30.32 per flight hour.

Guaranteed 76 flight hours per month upon completion of Initial New Hire training.

Per diem of $2.25 for every hour on duty away from the home domicile.
