Position Overview: Flight Attendant at SkyWest Airlines

Primary Responsibilities

Ensure the safety and comfort of all passengers throughout the flight.
Contribute to a positive and professional work environment.
Prepare and serve in-flight refreshments, meals, and snacks; manage onboard retail sales.
Greet passengers, facilitate baggage stowage, and deliver official onboard announcements.
Provide decisive leadership during emergency and non-emergency situations.
Manage and resolve passenger concerns, including medical emergencies or disorderly conduct.
Perform safety inspections and operate cabin equipment, including oxygen systems, fire extinguishers, and AEDs.
Adhere to all safety regulations and company performance standards independently.

Qualifications and Requirements

Minimum age: 21 years old.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Documentation: Must possess a current, valid U.S. or foreign passport (valid for at least 12 months) and all necessary visas for travel between the United States, Canada, Mexico, and the Bahamas.
Communication: Exceptional English proficiency for safety briefings and technical reporting.
Technical Proficiency: Ability to utilize electronic devices and PEDs for operational and training tasks.
Flexibility: Ability to work varied shifts up to 16 hours, including weekends, nights, and holidays; must be willing to travel frequently.
Relocation: Must be willing to relocate to an assigned domicile (Atlanta, GA; Austin, TX; Boise, ID; Chicago, IL; Colorado Springs, CO; Dallas/Fort Worth, TX; Denver, CO; Detroit, MI; Fresno, CA; Houston, TX; Los Angeles, CA; Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN; Palm Springs, CA; Phoenix, AZ; Portland, OR; Salt Lake City, UT; San Diego, CA; San Francisco, CA; Seattle, WA; or Tucson, AZ).

Physical and Appearance Standards

Height requirement: Between 5'0" and 6'0" (without shoes) to ensure safe operation of aircraft exits and jump seats.
Physical ability: Must be able to walk frequently, reach above shoulder level, bend, open emergency exits, close heavy doors (up to 45 lbs), and maneuver beverage carts (up to 250 lbs).
Sensory: Corrected vision not to exceed 20/40; hearing range within 15-17kHZ.
Professional Standards: Maintain a neat, clean, and professional appearance. Specific guidelines apply to hair, tattoos, and piercings (limited piercings; tattoos must be within dimensions or concealed).
Uniforms: Must wear the company-issued uniform and mandated face coverings as required.

Compensation and Benefits

Starting pay: $30.32 per flight hour.
Monthly Guarantee: 76 flight hours per month ($2,304.32 gross per month base).
Per Diem: $2.25 for every hour on duty away from the home domicile.
