The primary responsibility of a Flight Attendant is to ensure the safety and comfort of all passengers onboard the aircraft. This includes providing exceptional customer service while attending to passenger needs, serving meals and beverages, and managing in-flight sales. Key responsibilities include: ensuring the safety and comfort of all passengers; consistently contributing to a positive and productive work environment; efficiently preparing, serving, and restocking in-flight beverages, meals, and snacks, and managing onboard sales; greeting passengers, assisting with baggage stowage, and delivering onboard announcements; providing effective leadership in emergency and non-emergency situations; calmly resolving passenger issues, including medical emergencies; ensuring compliance with safety regulations, including inspecting and operating aircraft cabin components; and adhering to established procedures without supervision.

Minimum requirements include being at least 21 years of age, possessing a high school diploma or equivalent, holding a valid U.S. or foreign passport with at least 12 months of validity remaining, and possessing any necessary visas for travel between the United States, Canada, Mexico, and the Bahamas. Candidates must have excellent English communication skills, be comfortable using electronic devices, and be willing to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays. They must be reliable, punctual, and willing to relocate to one of SkyWest's crew domiciles after completing InFlight Training. Crew domiciles include Atlanta, GA; Boise, ID; Chicago, IL; Colorado Springs, CO; Dallas/Fort Worth, TX; Denver, CO; Detroit, MI; Fresno, CA; Houston, TX; Los Angeles, CA; Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN; Palm Springs, CA; Phoenix, AZ; Portland, OR; Salt Lake City, UT; San Diego, CA; San Francisco, CA; Seattle, WA; and Tucson, AZ.

Physical requirements include meeting height and weight limitations to ensure safe operation of the aircraft (height between 5'0" and 6'0" without shoes); the ability to perform tasks requiring frequent walking, bending, and reaching; the ability to open emergency exits and close aircraft doors weighing up to 45 pounds, push and pull a beverage cart weighing up to 250 pounds, and lift, store, and transport items. Corrected vision should not exceed 20/40, and normal or corrected hearing must be within 15-17kHZ. A professional, neat, and clean appearance is required, with no extreme hairstyles or colors, and limitations on visible tattoos and piercings. The company will provide a uniform and required face masks/coverings.

New hire Flight Attendants are guaranteed 76 flight hours as a reserve after completing initial training, with a starting pay of $28.86 per flight hour, equating to a base compensation of $2,193.36 gross per month. Per diem of $2.25 per hour is paid for all hours on duty away from the domicile.
