Position Summary

The Flight Attendant is responsible for ensuring the safety, comfort, and well-being of passengers while delivering exemplary service in accordance with FAA regulations, company policies, and standard operating procedures. This role demands strong attention to detail, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to remain calm and effective under pressure. The successful candidate will manage in-flight situations professionally, adhere to safety protocols, and maintain accurate documentation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform all duties in the aircraft environment in compliance with FAA regulations and company policies.
  • Prioritize passenger safety and comfort on every flight.
  • Deliver exemplary customer service to meet and exceed passenger expectations.
  • Assist with lifting and stowing luggage, including items in overhead bins up to 67 inches from the floor.
  • Provide support to passengers requiring additional assistance, including elderly travelers, unaccompanied minors, and individuals with disabilities.
  • Prepare and serve food and beverages.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Respond to emergency situations by implementing flight deck instructions, guiding evacuations, and providing emergency medical assistance (CPR/first aid).
  • Conduct safety demonstrations, public announcements, and passenger briefings.
  • Complete required reports, paperwork, and incident documentation.
  • Operate and secure aircraft doors weighing up to 60 lbs.
  • Push and pull food/beverage carts requiring up to 32 lbs. of force.
  • Perform tasks requiring frequent walking, bending, reaching, and lifting up to 75 lbs. with or without accommodation.
  • Operate galley/cabin equipment and in-flight entertainment systems independently.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and order of the cabin, galley, and lavatories.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership or the Pilot-in-Command.

Compensation and Benefits

Compensation: The starting annual salary for this position is $34,000.00, with annual increases up to a maximum of $42,500.00. A retention bonus of up to $2,000.00 per year is available once the maximum salary is reached.

Benefits: Full-time employees are eligible for:

  • Comprehensive insurance: Health, vision, dental, short/long-term disability, and voluntary life insurance (effective the first of the month following the hire date).
  • 401(k) Savings Plan: Company match up to 6% of eligible compensation, with eligibility beginning the first of the month following the hire date.
  • Paid Sick Leave: Accrual of up to 56 hours per year, with rollover up to 480 hours.
  • Vested Vacation Hours: Available for use on January 1st following the hire date.
  • Travel Privileges: Non-revenue/space available (NRSA) travel on Contour upon hire and access to MyID Travel after 6 months of service.
  • Leaves of Absence: Eligibility for medical, family care, maternity/paternity, and personal leave as defined in the Contour Employee Handbook.
