First Officer
Overview
Seeks qualified candidates for the position of First Officer. This role is integral to flight operations, responsible for assisting the Pilot-in-Command (PIC) in conducting flights safely and efficiently in accordance with regulations and company procedures. The First Officer supports all phases of flight, including ground operations, taxiing, takeoff, and landing, and collaborates with passenger service personnel to ensure timely departures.
Key Responsibilities
- Assists the Pilot-in-Command (PIC) in the safe and efficient operation of the aircraft.
- Supports or relieves the PIC in manipulating flight controls during all flight phases, including taxiing, takeoff, and landing.
- Collaborates with the PIC and ground personnel as needed to facilitate prompt and on-time departures.
Qualifications and Requirements
Prospective candidates must satisfy the following criteria:
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Holds a Commercial Pilot Certificate with Multi-Engine and Instrument Ratings.
- Possesses an English Proficiency Endorsement (EPE) on their Airman Certificate.
- Maintains a current FAA First Class Medical Certificate.
- Is a U.S. citizen or legally authorized to work in the U.S. with proper working documents.
- Holds an FCC Radiotelephone Operator’s Permit.
- Possesses a current Passport or alternative travel documents permitting free exit and re-entry into the U.S. (multiple re-entry status).
- Must be available to work any day of the week, including nights, weekends, and holidays, based on pilot bidding seniority.
- Is within three months of meeting the minimum hour requirements detailed herein.
- Meets the experience requirements of FAR 61.159 prior to employment.
- The company provides resources for completing an approved ATP CTP course for eligible candidates who successfully complete the application and interview process.
Flight Experience Recognition
The company acknowledges the value of skills gained in helicopter and glider operations. Helicopter or glider time may be included as part of an applicant’s total flight time, provided the candidate has a minimum of 250 Pilot-in-Command (PIC) hours in fixed-wing aircraft.
