Flight Attendant

A Flight Attendant ensures the safety and comfort of passengers, adhering to all FAA and Inflight guidelines. This role demands a commitment to providing a secure and pleasant onboard experience while upholding the highest standards of professionalism.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute all regulatory and assigned cabin duties with meticulous attention to passenger well-being, ensuring a safe and comfortable journey.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of all emergency procedures and the use of onboard emergency equipment; operate emergency exits and aircraft equipment, requiring physical strength up to 70 pounds.
  • Serve food and beverages to passengers, involving the maneuvering of carts weighing over 250 pounds.
  • Assist passengers with stowing carry-on baggage weighing up to 35 pounds.
  • Maintain a neat and orderly cabin environment.
  • Contribute to on-time operations by collaborating with crew members to adhere to all report, departure, and minimum turn times.
  • Execute inflight sales and promotional duties as assigned.
  • Assist other Customer Service staff with passenger handling and other duties as needed.
  • Maintain reliable and punctual attendance, following company policies.
  • Present a professional image in both conduct and appearance, adhering to the company uniform dress code.
  • Comply with all associate Rules of Conduct, as outlined in applicable manuals.
  • Maintain current Inflight guides and manuals.
  • Promote the company's core values and culture within the work environment.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of two years of customer service experience.
  • Must be 20 years of age or older by the first interview date.
  • Possess strong interpersonal skills with a positive, customer-oriented attitude.
  • Willingness to serve alcoholic beverages and handle peanuts, shellfish/seafood, beef, and pork products.
  • Ability to work with animals and around allergens.
  • Compliance with the company's tattoo policy; visible tattoos must meet size requirements or be covered.
  • Wingspan of approximately 55 inches or greater.
  • Ability to sit in the flight attendant jump seat with safety restraints fastened without modification.
  • No visible multiple piercings while in uniform.
  • Proficiency in reading, analyzing, and interpreting technical procedures and regulations.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from management, crew, passengers, and the public.
  • Ability to speak and be understood in English, including during emergency situations.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage stress effectively.
  • Capacity to interpret instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule formats.
  • Ability to remain calm and react quickly in various emergency situations.
  • Capacity for day-to-day decision-making to support operations.
  • Ability to process information and react positively in unexpected situations.
  • Ability to control personal responses and act appropriately under stress.
  • Physical strength to operate emergency equipment up to 70 pounds.
  • Ability to lift objects above shoulders up to 35 pounds.
  • Ability to push and pull carts weighing in excess of 250 pounds.
  • Ability to walk and stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to stoop, crouch, squat, climb, and kneel.
  • Clear vision at 20 feet or more with corrective lenses.
  • Ability to clearly hear verbal communications.
  • Ability to move about the aircraft and perform all functions freely and quickly.
  • Ability to work extended duty periods on sequential days.

Work Environment:

  • Ability to work in a diverse environment.
  • Ability to accommodate passengers with special needs or disabilities.
  • Availability to work varied schedules, including early mornings, nights, overnights, and weekends.

Travel Requirements:

  • Willingness to travel up to 100% of the time, including nights, weekends, holidays and overnight.
  • Willingness to relocate based on company operational needs.
