Responsibilities:
The Flight Attendant plays a vital role in supporting PSA Airlines' operations by contributing to safe and efficient flight operations. By providing professional customer service in accordance with company objectives and standards, the Flight Attendant helps ensure passenger satisfaction.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting the Captain in the safe and efficient conduct of the flight from planning through termination.
- Ensuring compliance with all applicable Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs), Transportation Security Administration (TSA), Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, and company procedures and policies.
- Performing all duties assigned by either the company or the Captain in a correct and timely manner.
- Conducting a preflight inspection of all cabin emergency equipment specific to the aircraft type, as detailed in the Inflight Manual.
- Promptly reporting any mechanical discrepancies to the Captain.
- Communicating perceptions clearly and directly to the Captain regarding the safety of passengers.
- Maintaining a high degree of crew coordination and professionalism.
- Performing duties in a professional, efficient, and cordial manner at all times while on duty.
- Completing required records and reports.
- Taking responsibility for the Company's Security and Safety Management System (SMS) and associated Safety Risk Management and Safety Assurance outputs.
- Performing other duties as assigned to support the efficient operation of the department and company.
Qualifications:
Required qualifications for this position include:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- A college education or a minimum of two years of customer service experience.
- Proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing in English.
- Must be at least 20 years of age.
- Ability to relocate or commute to an assigned domicile location.
- Must have a maximum height of 6 feet 0 inches and a minimum height of 5 feet 2 inches while wearing shoes.
- Possession of a valid US or Foreign Passport with applicable visas.
- If hired, ability to demonstrate authorization to work in the US.
Additional Information:
- Work Environment: This role primarily operates within an aircraft cabin. Occasional use of standard office equipment such as computers, telephones, photocopiers, facsimile machines, and filing cabinets may be required.
- Physical Demands: The role requires the ability to successfully perform essential functions, which include talking or hearing, standing, walking, climbing stairs, lifting weight up to 25 lbs, using hands to handle or feel, and reaching with hands and arms. This is largely a sedentary role with frequent physical activity as described.
- Security Clearance: All employees are required to pass a fingerprint-based criminal history records check (CHRC) per 49CFR1542.209 and a pre-employment drug screen.
