Norwegian is seeking highly skilled and motivated First Officers for permanent positions based in Oslo and Helsinki. The airline is open to applications from both Type Rated and Non-Type Rated candidates who meet its stringent requirements.
Prospective First Officers are invited to submit their applications. Upon submission, candidates will receive a confirmation email. The recruitment team meticulously reviews each application to assess skills, knowledge, and motivation, ensuring all requirements are met. Qualified applicants will subsequently receive an invitation to an Assessment Day.
The comprehensive Assessment Day provides an opportunity for candidates to engage with the Norwegian team. The day's agenda typically includes a company presentation, a collaborative group exercise, a 2:1 interview, and a demanding simulator session where candidates will demonstrate proficiency as both Pilot Flying (PF) and Pilot Monitoring (PM).
Candidates will be notified of their assessment outcome shortly after the Assessment Day. Those who do not receive a positive outcome are encouraged to reapply after a 12-month period. Successful candidates will be placed in a holding pool and may receive a job offer based on operational demand.
Norwegian maintains rigorous standards for its First Officers. Candidates must satisfy the following criteria:
Norwegian values its employees and offers a comprehensive package designed to support and reward its First Officers:
In accordance with company policy, all candidates applying for a First Officer position must either hold a State of Licence Issue (SOLI) from Norway, Sweden, or Denmark, or be actively in the process of transferring their SOLI to one of these countries. This requirement aims to enhance operational efficiency and reduce company costs. Prospective candidates who do not possess a Norwegian, Swedish, or Danish license are required to initiate the SOLI transfer process prior to the signing of an employment contract. Cooperation with this essential requirement during the application process is greatly appreciated.
