Experienced First Officer | Scandinavian Airlines System (SAS)

Scandinavian Airlines System (SAS) is seeking experienced First Officers to join its E195 and A320 fleet. This position offers a long-term career path within a legacy organization defined by professionalism, safety, and continuous development.

Minimum Requirements

  • Valid EASA Class 1 Medical Certificate.
  • Valid EASA CPL(A) or MPL.
  • ICAO English Language Proficiency Level 5 or 6.
  • Completed MCC course.
  • Unrestricted right to live and work in the European Union.
  • Clean criminal record.
  • Minimum of 400 hours on CS/FAR 25 aircraft.

All licenses and medical documentation must be valid at the time of application. Licenses issued by Denmark, Sweden, or Norway are preferred; non-Scandinavian EASA licenses are accepted provided they are converted before the commencement of the training course. Candidates must successfully complete background screening, a personal security interview, and alcohol and drug testing.

SAS Pilot Profile

The recruitment process evaluates candidates based on the SAS Pilot Profile, which assesses long-term suitability, trainability, and professionalism. Key competencies include:

Recruitment Process

The selection process consists of the following stages:

  1. CV and document screening.
  2. Video interview.
  3. Online interview with an SAS representative.
  4. Online cognitive and personality assessments.
  5. Assessment Day (group exercise, simulator session, and interview).
  6. Final checks (background screening, security interview, drug and alcohol testing).

Each stage is subject to disqualification.

SAS is currently recruiting for all bases, including:

  • BGO: E195
  • ARN: A320
  • OSL: E195 and A320
  • CPH: E195 and A320
