Scandinavian Airlines System (SAS) is seeking motivated, newly graduated cadets to embark on a professional career in aviation. This opportunity is designed for pilots with little or no airline experience who demonstrate a commitment to professional growth, safety, and operational excellence within a structured, mentored environment.

Minimum Requirements

• Valid EASA Class 1 Medical Certificate.
• Valid EASA CPL(A) or MPL license.
• ICAO English Language Proficiency Level 5 or 6.
• Completion of an MCC course.
• Unrestricted right to live and work in the EU.
• Clean criminal record.

Note: Licenses and medical certificates must be current at the time of application. Licenses issued by Denmark, Sweden, or Norway are preferred; non-Scandinavian EASA licenses are accepted but must be converted prior to the course start date. Successful completion of background screening, personal security interviews, and drug/alcohol testing is mandatory for employment.

SAS Pilot Profile

Candidates are evaluated based on the SAS Pilot Profile, which assesses long-term suitability, professionalism, and trainability. Key competencies include:

Recruitment Process

The selection process includes the following stages:

1. CV and document screening.
2. Video interview.
3. Online interview with an SAS representative.
4. Online cognitive and personality assessments.
5. Assessment Day (including group exercises, simulator sessions, and interviews).
6. Final checks (background screening, security interview, and drug/alcohol testing).

Each stage is subject to evaluation and may be disqualifying.

• BGO: E195
• ARN: A320
• OSL: E195 and A320
• CPH: E195 and A320

Applications are reviewed on a continuous basis. The recruitment process is structured for long-term planning, with courses commencing in the Fall of 2026 for operations beginning in Summer 2027.
