Northern Air Cargo, a Part 121 company, is looking for pilots with multi-engine experience for employment in Honolulu area of operation. This is a great opportunity in a growing sector and great company. Training dates for successful candidates will be as early as February 13th, 2023.

SUMMARY

The B-767 First Officer represents Northern Air Cargo and is responsible for the safe transportation of freight and mail by performing the following duties:

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist the Captain in the most efficient manner possible to ensure the preparation for and completion of the flight is in accordance with the CFRs and Company policies and procedures.
  • Fulfills the required designation as Second-In- Command.
  • Ascertains the aircraft has been loaded and secured for flight as per guidance from Captain.
  • Exercises proper use of all aircraft check lists at all times.
  • Prepares and maintains flight logs, charts, reports, etc., as required by the Captain.
  • Possesses, and keeps current the required licenses and documents for flight(s) to be performed.
  • Assumes the duties and responsibilities of the Captain (Pilot-in-Command) until the aircraft arrives at the next point of landing in the event the Captain becomes incapacitated in flight.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Captain, Chief Pilot or the Director of Operations.
  • Regular attendance is required.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Must have High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
  • Must have an unrestricted ATP
  • Must have First-Class Medical Certificate.
  • Must have or be able to obtain FCC license.
  • 500 hours preferred multi-engine time.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • Must possess and/or obtain a current US Passport with unlimited access in-and-out of the United States
    • OR employees with non-US Passports need any appropriate documentation allowing both the ability to work in the United States for any employer and to travel in-and-out of the United States without restriction.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test, background check and TSA security threat assessment.
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • Prefer wide-body international experience.
  • Prefer ETOPS experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

  • Ability to communicate effectively with fellow crewmembers, air traffic control, ground personnel, internal stakeholders (i.e. Flight Control Agents & other members of SOCC, training staff, etc.) management, and regulators.
  • Must be fluent in aviation orientated English language (FAR 61.153 (b)).
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as government regulations, collective bargaining agreements, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Most work is performed in airplane cockpit.
  • Will also spend time in airport hangars, outdoor airport ramps and classroom or aircraft simulator settings.
  • May be exposed to inclement weather conditions.

PHYSICAL EFFORT

  • Must meet physical requirements to receive FAA First Class Medical Certificate.
  • While performing this job, the employee is required to sit for extended periods of time and walk or stand some of the time.
  • Must be able to see, speak and hear.
  • Manual dexterity is required for operating aircraft controls.
  • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 70 pounds
