Key Responsibilities
The NetJets Pilot is responsible for delivering a superior air transportation experience characterized by a continued safety record. As the face of NetJets during flight operations, the pilot provides technically accurate and safe transportation while ensuring an exceptional service experience. Key tasks include:
- Operating the aircraft safely through all phases of flight (taxi, take-off, landing) in strict accordance with FAA guidelines, Original Equipment Manufacturer’s (OEM) Checklists, the NetJets Flight Operations Manual (FOM) or Aircraft Operating Manual (AOM), and Standard Operating Practices (SOPs).
- Greeting Owners and passengers pre-flight, making introductions, briefing them on the specific flight or trip details, verifying the itinerary, providing weather updates and safety briefings, and explaining any changes to the itinerary.
- Providing in-flight service as needed, including the professional handling and service of alcohol and catering.
- Loading and properly stowing all baggage on the aircraft.
- Handling and conducting flights for Owners who travel with pets and those who smoke.
- Acting as the final authority on the aircraft regarding all areas of operation, including strict compliance with applicable safety and regulatory guidance.
- Serving as a liaison for Owners/passengers and NetJets from their arrival at the FBO until their safe landing at the final destination and departure from the FBO.
- Properly communicating any maintenance abnormalities or discrepancies to the NetJets Maintenance Control Center (MCC) Controller on duty for their assigned fleet.
- Accurately completing any paperwork associated with maintenance abnormalities or discrepancies.
- Performing other duties as assigned depending on specific operational needs.
Qualifications
Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
Certifications and Licenses:
- Possession of a written FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certification.
- Must hold a current FAA First Class Medical Certificate.
- An FCC Restricted Radio Operator’s Permit is required.
- Must possess a valid State driver’s license.
Experience & Requirements (KSAOs):
- Must possess an FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate, Restricted ATP (R-ATP) certificate, or meet the eligibility requirements for either the FAA ATP or R-ATP certificate with a multi-engine rating, in accordance with FAA regulation 61.160.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must meet one of the following total flight time criteria:
- Minimum of 1,500 hours total flight time experience.
- Minimum of 1,250 hours with an appropriate university R-ATP certificate.
- Minimum of 1,000 hours with military pilot qualification.
- Minimum of 1,000 hours with an appropriate university R-ATP certificate.
- Must have accumulated 200 hours of cross-country flight time (greater than 50 nautical miles).
- Requires 250 hours of fixed-wing Pilot in Command (PIC) time.
- Needs 100 hours of night flying experience, or 75 hours with at least 45 night takeoffs and landings.
- Requires 75 hours of instrument time (actual or simulated in-flight, excluding simulator time).
- Successful completion of the ATP written examination is required prior to commencing Indoctrination Training.
- Must have accumulated 50 hours of fixed-wing, multi-engine time.
- Must hold a valid passport and be legally able to travel internationally without restrictions.
- Authorization to work in the U.S. and ability to travel in and out of the country without restriction is essential.
- Availability to work variable hours, including days, nights, weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
- Demonstrated ability for extreme flexibility and adjustment to rapid changes in schedule or itinerary.
- Capability to effectively manage rest to ensure readiness for flight duty at all times during a tour.
- Ability to secure required airport authority and/or US Customs security badges.
- Successful completion of Transportation Security Administration required background screening is necessary to obtain appropriate security badges.
- Proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding the English language fluently.
- A service-oriented demeanor, neat and well-groomed appearance, and proven ability to create a positive impression, including effective interaction with passengers.
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills, particularly when operating under pressure.
- Demonstrated ability to make swift and accurate decisions with meticulous attention to detail, encompassing both technical aspects and passenger service requirements.
- Physical capability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
- Ability to work around animals, including handling and caring for them before, during, and after Owner flights.
- Ability to conduct flights for Owners who smoke.

Working Environment & Expectations:
Duty periods may extend up to fourteen hours per day for up to eight consecutive days and involve operations across different time zones and extreme weather conditions. Pilots may be away from home for seven or more days and nights while on duty, requiring overnight stays in hotels.
Compensation and Benefits
Base Salary Range:
$86,015 – $117,706
