Job Overview

Fiji Airways operates a modern fleet, including A330, A350, and B737NG/MAX aircraft, serving an extensive network across New Zealand, the Pacific region, Los Angeles, Vancouver, Hong Kong, and various Australian destinations. This position offers a highly attractive, renewable three-year contract, particularly appealing to pilots based in Australia and New Zealand due to the provision of commuting tickets between the crew member's contract base and Nadi for the commencement of duties.

Candidate Requirements

Prospective Captains must meet the following stringent criteria to be considered for this pivotal role:

1. Possession of a valid A330 or A350 type rating.
2. Minimum on-type Pilot in Command (PIC) experience:
   • A minimum of 1,000 hours PIC on A330/A350 aircraft, OR
   • A minimum of 3,000 hours PIC on A320/A340 aircraft, with the applicant responsible for obtaining their own A330/A350 rating or Cross Crew Qualification (CCQ).
3. A minimum of 2,000 hours PIC on turbine aircraft.
4. A minimum of 5,000 hours total jet time.
5. Experience operating the specific aircraft type within the last 12 months; however, this requirement may be waived for exceptional candidates.
6. Demonstrated experience operating as crew on type for more than 2 years.
7. Applicants must be no older than 60 years of age at the time of application.
8. Hold a valid ICAO Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL).
9. Possess a valid First Class Medical Certificate.
10. Achieved ICAO English Language Proficiency Level 5 or above.
