Job Description
Longreach Aviation Resources is actively recruiting for Captain positions on the B737NG and B737MAX aircraft for Fiji Airways. This exciting opportunity is based in Nadi, Fiji, offering a gateway to operating routes across the Pacific region, including New Zealand, Los Angeles, Vancouver, Hong Kong, and various Australian destinations.
Fiji Airways operates a modern fleet comprising A330, A350, and B737NG/MAX aircraft. These three-year renewable contracts are particularly appealing to pilots in Australia and New Zealand, as Fiji Airways provides commuting tickets between the crew member's contract base and Nadi for the commencement of duty.
Salary and Benefits
This role offers a competitive remuneration package designed to attract highly skilled aviators:
- Monthly Service Fee: NZD 17,428 for Captains (for 70 block hours)
- Accommodation Allowance: NZD 2,240 per month
- Excess Flying Pay: Over 70 block hours per month are compensated at 125% of the hourly rate.
- Flight Duty Pay: NZD 10 per block hour
- Contract Term: 3-year renewable contract
- Days Off: A block of 10 days off is provided each month.
- Annual Leave: 24 days of paid annual leave
- Sick Leave: 12 days of paid sick leave
- Insurance: Emergency medical insurance is provided.
- Travel Benefits: Discounted travel for the pilot and their family members on Fiji Airways flights.
Aircraft Type: A350/A330/B737NG/MAX
Operating Base: Nadi, Fiji
Requirements
Prospective candidates must meet the following qualifications:
- Valid B737NG or B737MAX type rating.
- Minimum of 1,000 hours Pilot-in-Command (PIC) on type.
- Minimum of 5,000 hours total flight time.
- Recent flight experience on type within the last 6 months.
- More than 2 years of operational experience as crew on type.
- Maximum age of 60 years.
- Valid ICAO ATPL (Airline Transport Pilot License).
- Valid First Class Medical Certificate.
- ICAO English Language Proficiency Level 5 or above.
