Air Japan, operating a fleet of B787 passenger and freighter aircraft from its base in Narita, Japan, seeks qualified Captains for a 5-year contract with potential for extensions. The role involves operating routes within Asia and to Honolulu.
About the Role
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Captain to secure a long-term career path with a major Japanese airline. Air Japan is upgrading its fleet with B787 aircraft and will provide a full type rating course at no cost, leading to a highly sought-after JCAB license. A commuting package is offered, including 10 days off per month (minimum 8 consecutive days) and a monthly allowance of $2000 USD to assist with commuting to Tokyo. Staff travel benefits on Star Alliance partner airlines are also provided.

Captain Requirements (non-JCAB Licence holders)

6,000 hours Total Flight Experience

4,500 hours Commercial Jet PIC

Multi-engine Jet experience in excess of 65,000kg MTOW

Valid ICAO ATPL with Command Jet Type Rating (B737, A320 equivalent or larger commercial jet)

Must have flown within the last 12 months

Under 55 years of age at time of commencement
