Career Opportunity: A330 & A350 Captains - Fiji Airways
Fiji Airways, the flag carrier of Fiji based in Nadi, is currently seeking experienced and qualified A330 and A350 Captains. Operating a modern fleet including A330, A350, and B737NG/MAX aircraft, the airline serves a diverse network across New Zealand, the Pacific, Australia, Hong Kong, Los Angeles, and Vancouver.
Position Overview
These roles are offered on a three-year renewable contract basis. Fiji Airways supports international personnel by providing commuting tickets between the crew member’s contract base and Nadi, making this an attractive opportunity for pilots based in Australia and New Zealand.
Professional Requirements

Valid ICAO ATPL and a valid First Class Medical.

Valid A330 or A350 type rating.

Minimum of 5,000 hours total jet time.

Minimum of 2,000 hours Pilot-in-Command (PIC) on turbine aircraft.

PIC requirements on type:

Minimum 1,000 hours PIC on A330/A350; OR
-
Minimum 3,000 hours PIC on A320/A340 (applicant must obtain A330/A350 rating or CCQ).

Must have operated as crew on type for more than two years.

Must have flown on type within the last 12 months (subject to potential waiver).

Maximum age of 60 years.

Minimum ICAO English Level 5 proficiency.
Compensation and Benefits
Captains receive a competitive compensation package based in Nadi, Fiji.

Monthly Base Payment:
NZD 17,428 (based on 70 block hours).

Accommodation Allowance:
NZD 2,240 per month.

Excess Flying Pay:
125% of the hourly rate for time exceeding 70 block hours per month.

Flight Duty Pay:
NZD 10 per block hour.

Work-Life Balance:
A block of 10 days off provided each month.

Leave Entitlements:
24 days of annual leave and 12 days of sick leave per annum.
