A330 & A350 Captain – Fiji Airways

Fiji Airways, headquartered in Nadi, Fiji, is currently seeking experienced A330 and A350 Captains. The airline operates a robust network of A330, A350, and B737NG/MAX aircraft, connecting Fiji to major destinations across New Zealand, the Pacific, Australia, Hong Kong, Los Angeles, and Vancouver.

Role Overview

These positions are offered on a three-year renewable contract basis. Fiji Airways provides commuting tickets between the crew member’s contract base and Nadi, offering an attractive opportunity for pilots based in Australia and New Zealand.

Requirements

• Valid ICAO ATPL and First Class Medical certificate.
• Current A330 or A350 type rating.
• Minimum of 1,000 hours PIC on A330/A350, OR 3,000 hours PIC on A320/A340 (with the requirement that the applicant obtains their own A330/A350 rating or CCQ).
• Minimum of 2,000 hours PIC on turbine aircraft.
• Minimum of 5,000 hours total jet time.
• Experience operating as crew on type for more than two years.
• Must have flown on type within the last 12 months (waiver may be considered).
• Maximum age of 60.
• ICAO English proficiency level 5 or higher.

Compensation and Benefits

Captains receive a monthly payment of NZD 17,428 (based on 70 hours) and an accommodation allowance of NZD 2,240. Additional compensation includes:

• Excess Flying: 125% of the hourly rate for time exceeding 70 hours per month.
• Flight Duty Pay: NZD 10 per block hour.
• Schedule: A block of 10 days off per month.
• Leave: 24 days annual leave and 12 days sick leave.
• Insurance: Emergency medical coverage provided.
• Travel: Discounted travel benefits for the pilot and family members on Fiji Airways.
