Banquet Lead

Location: Lincoln Embassy Suites, 1040 P Street, Lincoln, NE 68508

Employment Type: Full-time

Compensation Range: $20.00 per hour (determined by experience, skills, qualifications, and location).

Position Overview

The Lincoln Embassy Suites is seeking a professional and motivated Banquet Lead to join our team. In this role, the successful candidate will provide operational leadership, ensuring the delivery of high-quality guest experiences through precise event execution and team coordination.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the setup and breakdown of banquet events, ensuring high standards for linens, silverware, and china.
  • Coordinate the flow of service to ensure meal delivery is efficient and timely.
  • Provide guidance and motivation to the banquet team for all event types, ranging from coffee breaks to full-service dinners.
  • Manage and troubleshoot audio-visual equipment setup.
  • Assist with operational tasks, including staff scheduling, training, and inventory management.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in customer service.
  • Minimum of 6 months of banquet food service experience.
  • Demonstrated leadership potential or prior supervisory experience.
  • Possession of, or willingness to obtain, required food and alcohol certifications within 90 days of employment.
  • Physical stamina sufficient to perform tasks including lifting, bending, walking, and standing for the duration of a shift.
