Job Description

China Southern Air Cargo is seeking experienced B777 type-rated Captains to operate its expanding fleet of B777F aircraft. This is a sought-after contract position based in Guangzhou, China, with the subsidiary of China Southern Air, the world's fifth-largest airline by fleet size.

Contract Details

• Contract Length: 2 years, renewable.
• Base: Guangzhou (CAN).
• Retirement Age: Up to 60 years old.
• Roster: 10 days off per month in a block.
• Annual Leave: 20 days per year.
• Allowances: Monthly allowance provided for Guangzhou-based pilots.
• Remuneration: All payments are net of Chinese taxes.

Captain Ranks and Compensation

New Captain:

• Monthly Salary: US$2,000
• Hourly Fee: US$221.8 per hour
• Monthly Allowances: US$1,060 per month
• Annual Safety Bonus: Tiered bonus based on hours flown (US$800 - US$7,000).
• Total Monthly Package (60-75 hours): US$16,834 - US$20,278

Leading Captain (Lv1):

• Monthly Salary: US$2,000
• Hourly Fee: US$245.6 per hour
• Monthly Allowances: US$1,060 per month
• Annual Safety Bonus: Tiered bonus based on hours flown (US$800 - US$7,000).
• Total Monthly Package (60-75 hours): US$18,262 - US$22,063

Leading Captain (Lv2):

• Monthly Salary: US$2,000
• Hourly Fee: US$257.5 per hour
• Monthly Allowances: US$1,060 per month
• Annual Safety Bonus: Tiered bonus based on hours flown (US$800 - US$7,000).
• Total Monthly Package (60-75 hours): US$18,982 - US$22,963

Additional Features:

• Lifestyle: Minimum of 10 days off in a block each month.
• Block Hours: Guaranteed 720 hours per year; expecting 75 hours/month.

Requirements

• Currently rated on the B777/B787.
• Minimum 1,000 PIC (Pilot in Command) hours on B777/B787.
• Must have flown as Commander on the B777/B787 within the last 6 months.
• Minimum 3,000 hours PIC.
• Minimum 6,000 hours total flight time.
• Maximum age of 55 at the commencement of employment.
• Valid ATPL (Airline Transport Pilot Licence) from a country with diplomatic relations with the PRC.
• Valid First Class Medical Certificate.
• Valid passport from a country with diplomatic relations with the PRC.
• No history of incidents or accidents.
• No criminal record.
• ICAO English Language Proficiency Level 4 or above.
