First Officer - Aviation
This is a full-time position based at Willow Run Airport (YIP) in Ypsilanti, MI. The First Officer reports directly to the Captain and is responsible for assisting in the safe and efficient conduct of all flights. In the event of the Captain's incapacitation, the First Officer will assume command.
Responsibilities:
- Execute flight duties according to Standard Operating Procedures, including aircraft-specific procedures, limitations, and performance data as assigned by the Captain.
- Ensure safe aircraft navigation by maintaining a continuous and independent check on the aircraft's geographical position and terrain clearance.
- Safely and accurately conduct the flight in compliance with the current flight plan and the Captain's instructions when the Captain is not at the controls.
- Provide the Captain with relevant advice, information, and assistance to promote a safe and efficient flight.
- Seek and receive necessary information and clarification from the Captain to effectively perform assigned duties.
- Report safety concerns, irregularities, incidents, and accidents to the Director of Safety if not already reported by other crew members.
- Review and update aircraft manuals to ensure currency and availability.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Aviation Related College Degree preferred
- Valid unrestricted driver's license
- Valid unrestricted passport
- First Class Medical Certificate
- FAA Commercial Pilot License with Instrument Rating
- FAA Airline Transport Pilot Certificate
- FCC Restricted Radiotelephone Operator Permit
- R-ATP Holder with 1,000 hours total time
- 2,500 hours total time and 500 hours turbine time
- Previous FAR 121 experience preferred
- Type rating in Boeing-737 preferred
- Basic MS Office knowledge, computer software, and internet proficiency
- Ability to pass DOT/FAA pre-employment drug screen and a DOT/FAA compliant background check

Location Requirements:
- Position based at Willow Run Airport (YIP) in Ypsilanti, MI.
- No ability to work from home.
- No relocation package is provided.
Shift Requirements:
- 13 days on, 10 days off schedule bid in 90-day increments.
- Availability to work weekends and holidays.
- Availability for full-time work and assigned shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Other Requirements:
- Must meet FAR Part 121 age requirements.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

- Yearly base compensation of $81,360.00.
- Salary at the start of training, along with accommodations at the base (YIP).
