Boeing 737 Captain Position - Ypsilanti, MI
This full-time position offers an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled and experienced pilot to join our growing team. The Captain is responsible for all aspects of flight operations, including safety, crew management, and aircraft integrity from reporting for duty until released. All flights are conducted on-demand, following varying schedules and operating under Part 121 of the U.S. Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs).
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as both the Ground Security Coordinator (GSC) and In-Flight Security Coordinator (ISC) for the flight.
- Execute flight duties adhering to Standard Operating Procedures, encompassing aircraft-specific limitations and performance standards.
- Ensure safe navigation, maintaining a continuous and independent check on the aircraft's geographical position and terrain clearance.
- Conduct flights in accordance with the approved flight plan, prioritizing safety and adherence to regulations.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required, Aviation-related college degree preferred.
- Valid, unrestricted driver's license and passport.
- First Class Medical Certificate.
- FAA Commercial Pilot License with an Instrument Rating.
- FAA Airline Transport Pilot Certificate.
- FCC Restricted Radiotelephone Operator Permit.
- Boeing 737 Type Rating.
- Minimum 2,500 hours total time and 500 hours turbine time.
- Minimum 500 hours in a FAR Part 121 airline.
- Type-rated in Boeing-737.
Essential Skills and Work Environment:
- Proficiency in basic MS Office software, computer skills, and internet usage.
- Successful completion of DOT/FAA pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Physical Requirements:

Location and Shift Requirements:
- Position is based at Willow Run Airport (YIP) in Ypsilanti, MI.
- No remote work options available.
- No relocation package is offered for this position.
- 13 days on, 10 days off schedule bid in 90-day increments.
- Availability to work weekends and holidays is mandatory.
- Full-time commitment is required, encompassing assigned shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Additional Requirements:
- Must meet FAR Part 121 age requirements.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Base yearly compensation of $129,600.00.
- Salary provided at the start of training, along with accommodation at the base (YIP).
- Competitive salary with established pay scale, including yearly increases and bonuses.
- Per diem allowance.
Position-Specific Benefits:
- Company-paid travel to and from the base or aircraft location.
- CASS (Cockpit Access Security System) - jump seat privileges and cockpit access for both work and personal travel.
