Position Summary

Executive Jet Management is actively seeking highly qualified candidates for the pivotal role of Pilot in Command (PIC) for a G280 aircraft. This full-time position is based at KRDU (Raleigh-Durham, NC) and operates exclusively under Part 135 regulations. The role is part of a dedicated three-pilot team, further supported by a skilled Maintenance Technician. The Pilot in Command bears ultimate responsibility for ensuring the aircraft's safe, compliant, and efficient operation, meticulously adhering to all company policies and regulatory requirements while consistently delivering an exceptional service experience to passengers.

Key Responsibilities

Ensuring the Safe Operation of Flight:

  • Ensures that all crewing and trip assignments rigorously comply with company and regulatory requirements.
  • Completes all necessary flight planning, performance calculations, and accurate weight and balance tasks for each assigned mission.
  • Leads comprehensive pre-flight briefings utilizing the Threats, Plans, and Considerations (TPC) methodology to proactively identify and effectively mitigate operational risks.
  • Adheres strictly to company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and maintains effective coordination with all relevant company personnel. Serves as the Ground Security and In-Flight Security Coordinator in accordance with established company policy.
  • Executes all pre-flight aircraft tasks, including meticulous verification of the aircraft's maintenance status, to ensure its mission readiness. Accurately records all aircraft discrepancies in strict adherence to company SOPs.
  • Monitors and ensures the proper accomplishment of all aircraft ground servicing items, such as fueling, oil, and oxygen, in full compliance with SOPs.
  • Conducts comprehensive passenger briefings in accordance with company policy and regulatory mandates. Delivers the highest level of customer service, attentively addressing any special needs of passengers, including those who are physically challenged.
  • Effectively utilizes Crew Resource Management (CRM) and Threat and Error Management (TEM) principles to facilitate clear, concise, and timely communication with fellow crew and support personnel during normal, abnormal, and emergency operations.

Delivering an Exceptional Service Experience:

  • Provides premium quality service to aircraft owners and passengers, proactively identifying opportunities to significantly enhance the EJM service experience. Regularly investigates and promptly resolves any service deviations.
  • Fosters strong collaboration with fellow crew members and internal EJM partners to ensure a consistent and superior service experience for owners and passengers. Effectively resolves conflicts and challenges in a professional and acceptable manner.

Maintaining Professional Proficiency and Compliance:

  • Maintains all required regulatory and company training certifications and ensures current recency of experience.
  • Complies fully with the company's robust Safety Management System (SMS) program and promptly reports any safety concerns or non-compliance issues through the appropriate, established channels.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for the Pilot in Command position are expected to possess a minimum of 4-6 years of relevant aviation experience and demonstrate the following essential qualifications:

  • Prior experience in corporate or business aviation operations is highly preferred.
  • Possession of a current FAA Type rating specific to the applicable fleet (G280).
  • Demonstrated ability to perform all essential functions of the position, including any associated physical demands.
  • Minimum Flight Time Requirements:
    • Total Flight Time: 3500 hours
    • Multi-Engine Land (MEL): 1500 hours
    • Pilot in Command (PIC): 2000 hours
    • PIC Multi-Engine Land (MEL): 500 hours
    • Instrument: 300 hours
    • Jet: 500 hours
