The Role: G280 Pilot in Command
Executive Jet Management presents an exceptional, long-term opportunity for a professional corporate aviation pilot to join a dedicated three-pilot account. This position supports a well-established aircraft owner, requiring the highest standards of professionalism, discretion, and continuity. The Gulfstream G280 aircraft is permanently based at Raleigh-Durham International Airport (KRDU) and operates primarily under Part 91 regulations, with some Part 135 operations. This account includes the support of a dedicated Maintenance Technician.
The Pilot in Command (PIC) bears the final responsibility for ensuring the aircraft is operated in a safe, compliant, and efficient manner. The PIC must adhere strictly to all company and regulatory requirements while consistently delivering an outstanding service experience reflective of EJM’s standards.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
Ensuring the Safe Operation of Flight
Ensures that all crewing and trip assignments maintain full compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
Completes all required flight planning, performance calculations, and weight and balance tasks accurately for each assignment.
Utilizes the Threats, Plans, and Considerations (TPC) briefing methodology to lead required briefings and effectively mitigate operational risks.
Complies rigorously with all company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and coordinates necessary actions with company personnel.
Acts as the designated Grounds Security and In-Flight Security Coordinator, adhering to defined company policies.
Completes thorough pre-flight aircraft checks, including verifying the maintenance status, to ensure the aircraft is fully mission capable.
Records all aircraft discrepancies accurately and in accordance with company SOPs.
Monitors and ensures all aircraft ground servicing items (e.g., fueling, oil, oxygen) are accomplished in compliance with SOPs.
Utilizes Crew Resource Management (CRM) and Threat and Error Management (TEM) to maintain clear and timely communication with the crew and support personnel during all phases of normal, abnormal, and emergency operations.
Delivering an Exceptional Service Experience
Provides high-quality service to aircraft owners and passengers while proactively identifying opportunities to enhance the overall EJM service experience.
Investigates and resolves any service deviations promptly and professionally.
Collaborates effectively with fellow crew members and EJM internal partners to ensure a consistent and superior service experience for owners and passengers.
Resolves conflicts and challenges in an acceptable and professional manner.
Conducts passenger briefings in accordance with company policy and federal regulation. Delivers the highest level of customer service, accommodating the special needs of passengers (e.g., physically challenged) as required.
Maintaining Proficiency and Compliance
Maintains all regulatory and company-required training, currency, and recency of experience.
Complies fully with the company Safety Management System (SMS) program and reports safety or non-compliance concerns through appropriate channels.
Required Qualifications and Experience
Years of Experience
The ideal candidate possesses 4–6 years of professional aviation experience. Prior experience in corporate or business aviation is highly preferred.

Total Flight Time: 3,500
Multi Engine Land (MEL): 1,500
Pilot in Command (PIC): 2,000
PIC Multi Engine Land: 500
Instrument: 300
Jet: 500
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAOs)
A current FAA Type rating in the applicable fleet (Gulfstream G280) is mandatory.
Must be physically capable of performing the essential functions of the position.
