The Pilot-Captain reports directly to the Chief Pilot and holds ultimate authority and responsibility for the safe and efficient operation of all company flights. This role requires adherence to company policies, procedures, and all applicable Federal Aviation Regulations. As a valued member of the Pacific Seafood team, the Pilot-Captain is expected to provide exceptional service to passengers, clients, and guests, embodying the company's commitment to excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Fully embody and uphold the Pacific Seafood Diamond Philosophy, consistently striving for improvement in all aspects of the role.
- Conduct comprehensive pre-flight planning, encompassing weather conditions, aircraft performance, weight and balance calculations, Notice to Airmen, flight plans, customs procedures for international flights, and pre-flight aircraft inspections.
- Conduct thorough safety briefings, execute flights safely and proficiently, complete post-flight inspections, and promptly report any maintenance issues to the Chief Pilot.
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of relevant flight operations, aircraft systems, normal and emergency operating procedures, aircraft surface contamination and cold weather operations, high altitude operations, crew resource management, and international operations as applicable.
- Provide exceptional service to passengers, clients, and guests, including welcoming passengers, assisting with luggage and special needs, and providing a thorough briefing on safety equipment and amenities.
- Execute other non-flying duties, including travel arrangements for crew and/or passengers, aircraft servicing, database updates, aircraft cleaning, and maintaining the aircraft, medical and emergency kits, and stores.
- Maintain a current Commercial Pilot's License or higher, a Second Class Medical Certification or higher, and provide all required documentation prior to employment, ensuring compliance with FAA, state, and company insurance requirements and regulations, as well as any other applicable codes or requirements for acting as a pilot on Pacific Seafood's behalf. The pilot is responsible for all costs associated with obtaining and maintaining required pilot qualifications.
- Adhere strictly to Pacific Seafood's drug and alcohol policy and refrain from consuming any alcoholic beverages within eight hours of operating an aircraft.
- Uphold and enforce robust safety practices.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Fluency in English (ICAO Operational Level 4), including reading, writing, and speaking.
- Possession of a Second-Class FAA Medical Certificate or higher.
- Valid US Passport.
- FAA Airline Transport Pilot or FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate with a Multi-Engine Land Rating with Instrument Privileges.
- PIC Type Rating for G280 and/or LR-60 (Learjet 60).
- Minimum pilot time:
- 3500 hours Total Flight Time
- 500 hours Multi-Engine Flight Time
- 1000 hours Turbo-prop, Turbo-fan, and/or Turbo-jet
- 500 hours Turbo-fan and/or Turbo-jet
- 250 hours in Make and Model (Gulfstream 280 and/or Learjet 60)
Preferred:
- Experience with Alaska flying.
- Experience with international flying.
