Position Overview

EJM is seeking a highly qualified Pilot in Command for a Gulfstream G280 aircraft permanently based at KLAS (Las Vegas, NV). This is a unique opportunity to join a dedicated three-pilot team supported by an onboard cabin attendant and a dedicated maintenance technician, serving a well-established Part 91 account. With an annual flight schedule typically under 200 hours, this position offers a consistent, lower-demand operational tempo, promoting an excellent work-life balance. Candidates must reside in or be willing to relocate to the Las Vegas area, as this is not a commutable position. The Pilot in Command holds ultimate responsibility for ensuring the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of the aircraft, adhering to all company and regulatory standards while delivering an exemplary service experience.

Key Responsibilities

Ensuring Safe Operation of Flight:

  • Oversees crewing and trip assignments for regulatory and company compliance.
  • Manages comprehensive flight planning, performance calculations, and weight and balance.
  • Leads briefings using Threats, Plans and Considerations (TPC) methodology to mitigate operational risks.
  • Adheres strictly to company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Serves as the designated Ground Security and In-Flight Security Coordinator.
  • Conducts thorough aircraft pre-flight inspections, verifies maintenance status, and records discrepancies according to SOPs.
  • Monitors and ensures compliance with all aircraft ground servicing procedures, including fueling, oil, and oxygen.
  • Delivers passenger briefings compliant with policy and regulation, ensuring the highest level of customer service and accommodating special needs.
  • Employs Crew Resource Management (CRM) and Threat and Error Management (TEM) for clear and timely communication with crew and support personnel across all operational phases.

Delivering an Exceptional Service Experience:

  • Provides superior service to aircraft owners and passengers, proactively seeking opportunities to enhance the EJM service experience.
  • Investigates and resolves service discrepancies promptly.
  • Collaborates effectively with fellow crew members and internal EJM teams to ensure a consistent, high-quality service delivery.
  • Manages conflicts and challenges professionally.

Maintaining Proficiency and Compliance:

  • Maintains all required regulatory and company training, ensuring recency of experience.
  • Participates actively in the company's Safety Management System (SMS) program, reporting safety concerns and non-compliance issues through appropriate channels.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Prior experience in corporate or business aviation.
  • Type rating G280 (preferred).
  • Must reside in or relocate to the Las Vegas Area.
  • Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position.
  • Minimum Time Requirements:
    • Total flight time: 3500 hours
    • Multi-Engine Land (MEL): 1500 hours
    • Pilot in Command (PIC): 2000 hours
    • PIC Multi-Engine Land (MEL): 500 hours
    • Instrument: 300 hours
    • Jet: 500 hours
