Job Overview

Solairus Aviation is seeking a dedicated and experienced Full-Time Gulfstream G280 Captain to join an operation based at KPBI airport. The successful candidate will be a collaborative team member committed to achieving excellence in all aspects of their performance. This role involves contributing to a team that prioritizes the safe and expert fulfillment of client travel needs, upholding Solairus' core values of safety, service, and integrity.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties

• Ensure the safe operation of the Gulfstream G280 aircraft.
• Conduct all flights in a safe and prudent manner, adhering to, but not limited to, the following:
  • Reviewing the aircraft's maintenance status.
  • Performing a comprehensive pre-flight inspection in accordance with the approved Aircraft Flight Manual.
  • Thoroughly checking weather conditions and facilities along the planned route and for destination and alternate airports.
  • Ensuring flight operations comply with Solairus Aviation policies, procedures, and applicable Federal Aviation Regulations.
  • Maintaining the safety of all passengers, the aircraft, and the crew.
  • Accurately completing all required trip paperwork according to current procedures.

Qualifications

• Total flight time: 3000 hours
• Pilot-in-Command (PIC) time: 1500 hours
• Multi-Engine Land (MEL) time: 1500 hours
• MEL PIC time: 500 hours
• Time in Turbo Jet aircraft: 500 hours
• Instrument flight time: 250 hours

Specific Qualifications and Certifications

• Type rating on Gulfstream G280 or a comparable aircraft.
• Valid First Class Medical certificate.
• Availability to work on an on-call basis.
• Completion of annual ICAO International procedures training.
• Primary residence within a 2-hour drive of KPBI or willingness to relocate.

Solairus Aviation gathers salary range data based on market conditions from various industry sources. Compensation for Solairus crewmembers ranges from $50,000 to $500,000, influenced by factors such as geographic area, experience, aircraft type, job responsibilities, training, and assigned account.
