Position Summary
Jet Aviation Staffing is seeking a qualified G280 Captain to join a premier flight department. The successful candidate will perform responsibilities as Pilot in Command (PIC) or Second in Command (SIC), ensuring the safe and efficient operation of private company aircraft with a steadfast emphasis on passenger service and safety.
Key Responsibilities

Operate private company aircraft in strict compliance with FAA regulations and company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Execute detailed flight planning, including route selection, contingency planning, fuel load determination, and review of NOTAMS and weather reports.

Conduct thorough aircraft pre-flight and post-flight inspections.

Manage weight and balance calculations, ensuring the accurate loading of passengers, baggage, and cargo.

Utilize the Flight Risk Assessment Tool to consistently identify and mitigate operational risks.

Maintain accurate aircraft logbooks and operations documentation.

Collaborate in an agile environment to resolve complex, non-routine issues and participate in the Safety Management System (SMS) culture.

Identify operational efficiencies, assist in drafting SOPs, and develop job aids.

Proactively manage assignments, seek professional coaching, and adapt to evolving work structures.
Education and Licensure Requirements

Associate’s degree or equivalent educational hours/technical school training (Bachelor’s degree preferred).

Commercial Multi-Engine Land Certificate and Instrument Airplane rating (ATP or ATP-CTP course completion preferred).

Current FAA First Class Medical Certification.

G280 Type Rating highly preferred.
Minimum Qualifications

Minimum of four (4) years of commercial or private flight experience with advanced technology EFIS and FMS cockpit systems.

Minimum of 3,000 hours total flight time (TT).

Minimum of 1,000 hours of multiengine airplane flight time (jet or turboprop).
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Strong cognitive abilities, including abstract reasoning, rapid learning, and effective problem-solving.

Proficient in MS Office Suite and technical documentation using agile methodologies.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build professional, trusting relationships.

Self-motivated with a service-excellence mindset and a drive for continuous professional development.

Must possess a valid passport and the ability to travel internationally for worldwide operations.

Ability to work a highly variable schedule, including long days, weekends, and frequent overnight travel.
Compensation and Benefits
The anticipated salary range for this position is $210,000 to $230,000. Final compensation is determined based on the candidate's experience, geographic location, and other relevant factors. Our client provides a comprehensive benefits package, including health coverage and a 401(k) plan.
