Dollar Tree is seeking a professional and safety-oriented Corporate G280 Pilot to join its Aviation team. This position is responsible for the safe, efficient operation of company aircraft while ensuring a best-in-class experience for passengers. This role is based at the company hangar in Norfolk, VA, and requires relocation.
Key Responsibilities
Flight Operations & Safety

Ensure the safe and orderly conduct of all assigned flights.

Maintain full compliance with all FAA regulations (FARs), international regulations, and Dollar Tree Aviation policies.

Review trip itineraries and coordinate with the Scheduler/Dispatcher to resolve discrepancies regarding fuel, pricing, ground transportation, and accommodations.

Evaluate weather, NOTAMs, runway conditions, and aircraft performance data for all missions.

Conduct thorough pre-flight crew briefings covering routes, altitudes, procedures, communications, and special instructions.
Crew Leadership & Coordination

Lead and coordinate with crew members during all phases of flight operations.

Train and develop Co-Pilots on techniques, procedures, and daily responsibilities.

Ensure crew members execute their roles while maintaining high professional standards.
Operational Excellence

Coordinate aircraft maintenance needs with the Manager of Aircraft Maintenance and the Director of Aviation, particularly when away from the home base.

Complete all required flight documentation, including BART data entry, with high accuracy.

Ensure timely and accurate expense reporting for company-related costs.

Maintain all required flight currency and qualifications.
Compliance & Continuous Improvement

Attend and successfully complete all required training, including annual recurrent pilot training.

Actively participate in the Aviation Safety Management System (SMS).

Support continuous improvement and operational excellence initiatives.

Perform other duties as assigned.
Candidate Requirements
-
Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) or Commercial Pilot Certificate with appropriate category ratings.

Minimum of 4,000 hours total flight time, including 2,000 hours multi-engine and 1,000 hours Pilot-in-Command (PIC) in jet aircraft.

Current aircraft type rating in accordance with FAR 61 requirements.

Ability to obtain and maintain a First Class FAA Medical Certificate (required within 30 days of hire).

Ability to obtain and maintain airport security clearance for Norfolk International Airport.

Valid U.S. Passport or the ability to obtain one.

Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Working Conditions
-
Position is based at the company hangar in Norfolk, VA, which is non-climate controlled outside of office areas.
-
Work is performed both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Travel is required, including extended periods away from the home base.
