Job Summary
The First Officer holds a critical role in ensuring the safe, timely, and customer-focused execution of flight operations, strictly adhering to all Company policies and Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR). This position demands a steadfast dedication to operational excellence, a proactive approach to flight management, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operates the aircraft safely and efficiently during designated duty periods, encompassing weekend, holiday, and night operations.
- Conducts thorough pre-flight and post-flight inspections to confirm the airworthiness and operational readiness of assigned aircraft.
- Rigorously reviews existing and forecast weather conditions for departure, arrival, and alternate stations prior to each flight.
- Ensures meticulous flight planning and proper fueling to facilitate safe, compliant, and efficient operations.
- Assists with and oversees the efficient handling of aircraft, passengers, baggage, and cargo at all terminal points, contributing proactively to on-time departures.
- Proactively informs flight crew and passengers of potential operational factors such as turbulence or adverse weather conditions, ensuring clear communication.
- Verifies the load manifest and passenger count for each flight prior to departure to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance.
Requirements and Qualifications
Candidates must meet the following minimum qualifications:
- A minimum of 1,500 hours total flight time; 2,500 hours preferred.
- At least 750 hours of multi-engine fixed-wing flight time.
- A minimum of 500 hours Pilot in Command (PIC) time.
- At least 500 hours of jet/turboprop flight time.
- Possession of a current FAA Class 1 Medical Certificate.
- Hold an Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate.
- Possess an FCC Restricted Radio Operator’s Permit.
- A valid U.S. Passport with machine-readable print and eligibility for international travel, or a valid foreign passport with authorization to work in the United States.
- Ability to travel to all cities and countries served by Frontier Airlines.
- Willingness and ability to relocate as required.
- Availability and readiness to work varied schedules, including weekends, nights, holidays, and overnight trips, including "red-eye" flights.
- Commitment to maintaining a well-groomed and professional appearance and demeanor.
- Ability to successfully complete pre-employment drug testing and background checks.
- Experience with sophisticated aircraft equipment, including Electronic Flight Instrument Systems (EFIS) and Flight Management Systems (FMS), is preferred.
- Compliance with company COVID-19 policies, requiring new hires to be fully vaccinated by their first day of employment, as permitted by law.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements
This role operates primarily within the dynamic environment of an aircraft cockpit. The position requires moderate physical activity, including the ability to occasionally handle objects weighing up to 50 pounds and frequently objects weighing up to 20 pounds. Essential equipment utilized includes an iPad/electronic tablet, aircraft controls, company manuals, navigation charts, and standard office equipment.
