Simulator Instructor

The Simulator Instructor is responsible for delivering comprehensive training activities in strict compliance with regulatory approvals, established standards, and internal processes. This role ensures the highest levels of safety, compliance, and training quality are maintained throughout all instructional operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct training duties in accordance with the Flight Simulator Instructor (FSI) job description.
  • Execute training in alignment with applicable Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and recommend revisions where necessary.
  • Assist in the preparation and maintenance of courseware, training materials, and theoretical examinations to meet regulatory standards.
  • Monitor client and student progress, developing and implementing effective action plans for those requiring remedial support.
  • Promote and support continuous improvement initiatives regarding processes, documentation, and training materials utilized by the Approved Training Organization (ATO).
  • Participate in Progress, Academic, and Disciplinary Review Boards, providing evidence-based recommendations for training or disciplinary matters.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Lead Instructor, Head of Training (HOT), or Director of Training (DOT).

Candidate Requirements

  • Possession of, or previous holding of, a type rating for the relevant aircraft.
  • Minimum of 2,000 hours Pilot-in-Command (PIC) on multi-crew jet transport OR 1,000 hours PIC on the relevant aircraft type.
  • Valid or previously held ICAO-recognized ATPL/CPL/MPL with a minimum ICAO English Proficiency Level 5.
  • Valid or previously held Flight Instructor Rating or equivalent certification.
  • Previous experience in Airline or ATO training environments is required; experience as a Flight Simulator Instructor or Type Rating Instructor is highly preferred.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of civil aviation regulations governing training.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and a track record of effective performance in multi-cultural environments.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to foster strong professional relationships at all levels.
  • High level of self-motivation, discipline, and the ability to deliver results in a remote working environment.
  • Proficiency in basic IT skills, including the Microsoft Office suite.
