Job Overview

Jet Linx is actively recruiting experienced Second in Command (SIC) pilots for its Midsize jet aircraft fleet, engaged in Part 91 and Part 135 flight operations. Ideal candidates will reside within or demonstrate a willingness to relocate to the Atlanta base area, ensuring a maximum 2-hour call-out time for standby duty.

Position Summary

Reporting directly to the Base Chief Pilot, the Second in Command plays a crucial role in ensuring the safe, efficient, and regulatory-compliant operation of company aircraft. This position involves meticulous preparation and execution of all flight duties in adherence to Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs) and established company procedures.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Total Flight Time: 1,500 hours
  • Total Pilot-in-Command (PIC) Time: 500 hours
  • Total Multi-Engine Time: 500 hours
  • Total Turbine Time: 100 hours
  • Total Instrument Time: 150 hours

Essential Functions

  • Proactively manage duty, flight, and rest periods in compliance with company policies and Federal Aviation Regulations.
  • Maintain consistent and clear communication with company operations for standby assignments, trip notifications, position updates, and pre/post-flight reporting.
  • Effectively manage and maintain Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) hardware and applications.
  • Ensure all navigation charts, publications, and company manuals are current and accessible.
  • Possess and maintain a current FAA First-Class Medical Certificate.
  • Demonstrate strong, proactive decision-making capabilities in dynamic flight environments.
  • Embody and consistently uphold Jet Linx’s core values in all professional interactions.

Additional Requirements

  • Preferred: Initial or recurrent 142 type rating training completed within the last 24 months.
  • Must be eligible to obtain a U.S. Driver's License.
  • Proof of eligibility to work in the United States is required.
  • Must possess a current passport.
  • Must hold or be able to obtain an Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate.
  • Must possess a current First-Class Medical Certificate.
  • Must hold a Restricted Radio Operator Permit (FCC).
  • Ability to successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening and comply with random drug and alcohol testing protocols.
  • Unrestricted ability to travel to Canada and Caribbean countries.
  • Must be able to release and pass an FAA Pilot Record Database (PRD) review with a System Chief Pilot.
  • Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as operational needs dictate.
  • A Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant work experience is required.
  • Work environment involves significant time in and around aircraft and aircraft terminals.
  • Ability to frequently lift and move up to 50 pounds.

Compensation and Benefits

Jet Linx offers a competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits package. The starting base annual salary for this position ranges from $89,000 to $125,000, with the final salary determined by geographic location, aircraft type, and the candidate's specific education, training, and experience.
