Jet Linx is actively seeking highly qualified and dedicated aviation professionals for the critical role of Second in Command (SIC) Pilot aboard a Citation V light jet. This full-time position supports both Part 91 and Part 135 flight operations based in the dynamic Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas area. Prospective candidates must reside or be willing to relocate within a two-hour call-out radius of the designated home base to ensure optimal operational readiness.
Position Summary
The Second in Command (SIC) Pilot reports directly to the Base Chief Pilot. The SIC is instrumental in preparing for and executing the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of company aircraft, strictly adhering to Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs) and established company procedures.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- The SIC is responsible for diligent management of duty, flight, and rest periods in strict accordance with company policy and CFR requirements.
- Maintains seamless communication with the company for standby duty assignments, trip notifications, position calls, and accurate pre- and post-flight reports.
- Manages and maintains electronic flight bag (EFB) hardware and applications.
- Ensures the currency and accuracy of all navigation charts, publications, and company manuals.
- Maintains a current 1st Class Medical Certificate.
- The candidate must convey strong, proactive decision-making skills in a dynamic operational environment.

Minimum Required Qualifications
Candidates must meet the following minimum flight experience requirements:
- Total Time: 1,500 hours
- Total Pilot in Command (PIC): 500 hours
- Total Multi-Engine: 500 hours
- Total PIC Multi-Engine: 25 hours
- Total Turbine: 100 hours
- Total Instrument: 150 hours
Additional Requirements and Certifications
The successful applicant must possess the following documentation and abilities:
- Current 1st Class Medical Certificate.
- FCC Restricted Radio License.
- Ability to obtain an Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate.
- Proof of eligibility to work in the U.S.
- Current passport with unrestricted ability to travel internationally, including to Canada and Caribbean countries.
- Ability to obtain a U.S. driver's license.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and consent to random drug/alcohol testing when required.
- Ability to release and successfully pass an FAA Pilot Record Database review with a System Chief Pilot.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience is required.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to move up to 50 pounds on a frequent basis, as the majority of work is completed in and around aircraft and airport terminals.
Preferred Qualifications
- Initial or Recurrent 142 training in the Citation V type within the last 24 months is strongly preferred.
Compensation and Benefits
Jet Linx offers a highly competitive compensation and benefits package. The starting base annual salary for this position ranges from $89,000 to $125,000. Actual base salary provided is dependent upon geographic location, aircraft size, and the relevant education, training, and experience of the candidate.
