Second in Command Pilot – Citation XLS/XLS+

Jet Linx, a premier private aviation company, is actively seeking a highly qualified and dedicated Second in Command (SIC) Pilot for its Citation XLS/XLS+ midsize jet aircraft fleet. This full-time position is based in Dallas, TX, and is integral to both Part 91 and Part 135 flight operations. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest standards of safety and efficiency across all flight operations.
Position Summary
The Second in Command (SIC) reports directly to the Base Chief Pilot. This critical role involves preparing for and executing safe and efficient company aircraft operations, meticulously adhering to Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs) and established company procedures. The SIC is expected to reside, or be willing to relocate, within a two-hour call-out radius of the Dallas home base.
Key Responsibilities
- Manages duty, flight, and rest periods in strict accordance with company policies and Federal Aviation Regulations.
- Maintains continuous communication with the company regarding standby assignments, trip notifications, position reports, and comprehensive pre- and post-flight documentation.
- Proficiently manages electronic flight bag (EFB) hardware and applications, ensuring operational readiness.
- Ensures all navigation charts, publications, and company manuals are current and readily accessible.
- Maintains a current First Class Medical Certificate.
- Demonstrates strong, proactive decision-making abilities in all operational scenarios.

Minimum Experience Requirements
- Total Flight Time: 1500 hours
- Pilot in Command (PIC) Time: 500 hours
- Multi-Engine Time: 500 hours
- Turbine Time: 100 hours
- Instrument Time: 150 hours
Additional Qualifications and Requirements
- Possession of or ability to obtain an Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate.
- Current First Class Medical Certificate.
- Valid FCC Restricted Radio License.
- Ability to obtain a U.S. driver's license.
- Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
- A current passport with unrestricted ability to travel to Canada and Caribbean countries.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen and willingness to undergo random drug/alcohol testing as required.
- Ability to release and pass an FAA Pilot Record Database review conducted by a System Chief Pilot.
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as operational demands require.
- A Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience is required.
- Initial or recurrent 142 training in Citation XLS/XLS+ type within the last 24 months is highly preferred.
- Must be able to move up to 50 pounds frequently; the majority of work is performed in and around aircraft and aircraft terminals.
Compensation and Benefits
Jet Linx offers a highly competitive compensation and benefits package to its valued team members. The starting base annual salary for this pivotal position ranges from $89,000 to $125,000, with the actual base salary determined by geographic location, specific aircraft size, crew position, and the candidate's relevant education, training, and experience.
