Second in Command (SIC) Pilot – Citation Latitude

Jet Linx, a premier private jet management and charter company, is actively seeking highly qualified and experienced Second in Command (SIC) Pilots to join its Super Midsize Citation Latitude fleet. This is a full-time opportunity based at our Teterboro, NJ base, operating under both Part 91 and Part 135 flight regulations. Position Summary
The Second in Command (SIC) reports directly to the Base Chief Pilot and plays a critical role in ensuring the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of company aircraft. This position requires a dedicated professional to uphold the highest standards of aviation safety and operational integrity, meticulously adhering to Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs) and Jet Linx's stringent company procedures. Candidates must either currently reside or be willing to relocate within a two-hour call-out radius of the Teterboro home base to meet operational demands.
Key Responsibilities
The Second in Command will be entrusted with a comprehensive range of duties essential to safe and efficient flight operations, including:
- Efficiently managing duty, flight, and rest times in strict accordance with company policies and Federal Aviation Regulations (CFRs).
- Maintaining proactive and consistent communication with the company regarding standby duty assignments, trip notifications, position calls, and comprehensive pre- and post-flight reports.
- Expertly managing and maintaining Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) hardware and applications to ensure operational readiness.
- Ensuring the absolute currency of all navigation charts, aviation publications, and company manuals.
- Maintaining a current FAA First Class Medical Certificate without interruption.
- Demonstrating strong, proactive, and sound decision-making skills in all operational scenarios.
- Embodying and promoting Jet Linx’s core values in every interaction and aspect of the role.
Minimum Qualifications
Candidates must meet the following minimum flight hour requirements to be considered for this critical role:
- Total Time: 1500 hours
- Total Pilot in Command (PIC): 500 hours
- Total Multi-Engine: 500 hours
- Total Turbine: 100 hours
- Total Instrument: 150 hours
Additional Requirements and Desired Profile
The ideal candidate will also possess the following qualifications and attributes:
- Unrestricted Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate.
- Current FAA First Class Medical Certificate.
- FCC Restricted Radio Operator Permit.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. driver's license.
- Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
- Possession of a current, valid passport.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen and commitment to ongoing random drug/alcohol testing as required.
- Unrestricted ability to travel internationally to all European Union, Canadian, and Caribbean countries.
- Successful release and review of the FAA Pilot Record Database by a System Chief Pilot.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as operational demands dictate.
- A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional work experience is required.
- Ability to frequently lift and move up to 50 pounds.
- Willingness to primarily work in and around aircraft and aircraft terminal environments.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Initial or recurrent FAA Part 142 training in Citation Latitude type within the last 24 months.
Compensation and Benefits
Jet Linx offers a highly competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits package designed to attract and retain top aviation talent. The starting base annual salary for this Second in Command position ranges from $124,000 to $160,000. The actual base salary provided is dependent upon geographic location, aircraft size (crew positions), and the candidate’s relevant education, training, and experience.
