Second in Command (SIC) – Citation XLS/XLS+ Pilot

Jet Linx is actively seeking highly qualified and motivated Second in Command (SIC) candidates to join its esteemed flight operations team in Denver, CO. This full-time position involves operating Midsize jet aircraft, specifically the Citation XLS and Citation XLS+, under both Part 91 and Part 135 flight regulations. The successful candidate will be expected to reside, or be willing to relocate, within a two-hour call-out radius of the Denver base to ensure operational readiness.
Position Summary
Reporting directly to the Base Chief Pilot, the Second in Command (SIC) plays a critical role in upholding the highest standards of safety and efficiency for company aircraft. The SIC assists in the comprehensive preparation and execution of flight operations, ensuring strict adherence to Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs) and established company procedures.
Key Responsibilities
The Second in Command is responsible for, but not limited to, the following essential functions:
- Effectively manage flight, duty, and rest periods in compliance with both company policies and Federal Aviation Regulations.
- Maintain continuous and clear communication with company operations regarding standby assignments, trip notifications, position reports, and pre- and post-flight documentation.
- Proactively manage and update Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) hardware and applications to ensure operational readiness.
- Verify the currency of all navigation charts, aviation publications, and company manuals.
- Maintain a current FAA 1st Class Medical Certificate.
- Demonstrate robust and proactive decision-making capabilities throughout all phases of flight.

Minimum Qualifications
Candidates must possess the following minimum flight experience and certifications:
- Total Flight Time: 1,500 hours
- Pilot in Command (PIC) Time: 500 hours
- Multi-Engine Time: 500 hours
- Turbine Time: 100 hours
- Instrument Time: 150 hours
- Current FAA 1st Class Medical Certificate.
- Ability to obtain an FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate.
- Possession of an FCC Restricted Radio License.
- Ability to obtain a U.S. Driver's License.
- Proof of eligibility to work in the U.S.
- Valid, current passport with unrestricted ability to travel to Canada and Caribbean countries.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and comply with random drug and alcohol testing as required.
- Successful review and release of FAA Pilot Record Database information by a System Chief Pilot.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to frequently move up to 50 pounds, with work primarily conducted in and around aircraft and airport terminals.
Preferred Qualifications
- Initial or recurrent FAA Part 142 type rating training completed within the last 24 months.
Compensation and Benefits

The starting base annual salary for this Second in Command position ranges from $89,000 to $125,000. Actual compensation is determined by geographic location, aircraft type/crew position, and the candidate's education, training, and relevant experience. The comprehensive benefits package includes:
