Second in Command – SIC - Citation XLS/XLS+
Full Time – Denver, CO
Jet Linx is seeking a highly qualified Second in Command (SIC) for Citation XLS/XLS+ aircraft based in Denver, CO. This is a full-time position supporting Part 91 and Part 135 flight operations. The successful candidate must reside or be willing to relocate to the base area, maintaining the ability to report for duty within a two-hour call-out window.
Position Summary
Reporting to the Base Chief Pilot, the SIC plays a vital role in preparing and ensuring the safe and efficient conduct of company flights, strictly adhering to Federal Aviation Regulations and company procedures.
Minimum Requirements:
- Total Flight Time: 1500 hours
- Pilot in Command (PIC) Time: 500 hours
- Multi-Engine Time: 500 hours
- Turbine Time: 100 hours
- Instrument Time: 150 hours
Essential Functions:
- Managing flight, duty, and rest periods in compliance with company and regulatory requirements.
- Maintaining consistent communication with the company regarding standby assignments, trip notifications, position updates, and pre/post-flight reports.
- Ensuring Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) hardware and applications are maintained and current.
- Verifying the currency of navigation charts, publications, and company manuals.
- Holding a current First Class medical certificate.
- Demonstrating strong, proactive decision-making abilities.
- Embodying Jet Linx's core values in all interactions and operations.
Other Requirements:
- Initial or recurrent 142 training in Citation XLS/XLS+ type within the last 24 months is preferred.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. driver's license.
- Authorization to work in the U.S.
- Possession of a current passport.
- Holding or possessing the ability to obtain an Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate.
- Possession of a valid FCC Restricted Radiotelephone Operator Permit.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening and consent to random drug and alcohol testing.
- Unrestricted ability to travel internationally, including to Canada and Caribbean countries.
- Ability to successfully complete a FAA Pilot Record Database review with a System Chief Pilot.
- Availability to work variable schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- A Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional work experience is required.
- The role primarily involves working in and around aircraft and terminal facilities.
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds frequently.
Compensation:
Jet Linx provides a competitive compensation and benefits package. The starting base annual salary for this position ranges from $89,000 to $125,000, commensurate with geographic location, aircraft size/crew position, and the candidate's education, training, and experience. The comprehensive benefits package features health, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan with a 6% company match, paid time off, and company-paid life and short-term disability coverage.
