Position Summary
The First Officer is responsible for directly supporting the Pilot-In-Command in the safe and efficient conduct of all flights. This role is critical in maintaining the highest standards of aviation safety and operational excellence.
Minimum Requirements
- Possession of an Airline Transport Pilot Certificate with the appropriate Aircraft Type Rating for the Cessna Citation Latitude.
- Ability to obtain and maintain an FAA First Class Medical Certificate.
- A minimum of 2500 flight hours in fixed-wing aircraft.
- At least 500 flight hours in multi-engine fixed-wing aircraft.
- Accumulated a minimum of 500 flight hours as Pilot-in-Command in fixed-wing aircraft.
- Possess a minimum of 100 flight hours in turbojet aircraft.
- A minimum of 3 years of professional aviation experience.
- Demonstrated ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively worldwide without restriction.
- A valid driver's license is required.
Main Responsibilities
- Provide direct support to the Pilot-in-Command for the safe conduct of all flights.
- Adhere to and ensure compliance with all company-wide reporting protocols, promptly reporting any hazardous events or incidents.
- Develop leadership skills, knowledge, judgment, and technical proficiency necessary for a Pilot-in-Command role, if not already qualified.
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of all aircraft systems, including emergency systems and procedures associated with the Cessna Citation Latitude.
- Ensure the aircraft is properly secured after each flight, including arranging for hangar storage when necessary or as instructed by company management.
- Obtain and analyze the most current weather reports, forecasts, and NOTAMs from authorized agencies.
- File flight plans with the FAA or relevant ICAO state Air Traffic Control facilities.
- Analyze area, enroute, and terminal charts for the airport of intended landing and potential alternates.
- Perform duties as the In-Flight Security Coordinator (ISC) in accordance with applicable security programs.
- Conduct required passenger safety briefings with clarity and professionalism.
- Undertake additional duties as assigned by the Pilot-In-Command.
- Represent Jet Aviation professionally and positively within the company, industry groups, regulatory bodies, and the broader General Dynamics network.

Physical Demands and Work Environment
This position requires the ability to perform essential job functions successfully. Reasonable accommodations may be provided to individuals with disabilities. The work environment encompasses both heavy maintenance areas and upscale customer spaces. Noise levels are typically moderate, with occasional high volume during aircraft operations. Employees may be exposed to vibration and occasional fuel fumes. The role demands a willingness to work in all weather conditions. The hangar environment can experience extreme temperatures during different seasons.
Compensation and Benefits
The anticipated salary range for this position is $160,000 to $170,000 annually. This range is an estimate and the final compensation will be determined based on the candidate's experience, geographic location, and other relevant qualifications.
