Serving as the primary representative of Horizon Air, the Flight Attendant embodies authentic hospitality while representing Alaska Airlines. The role requires comprehensive knowledge of both inflight service procedures and critical safety protocols. As part of the application process, candidates will be required to complete an audio assessment, estimated to take approximately 40 minutes.
Flight Attendants are required to obtain and maintain an Airport SIDA badge provided by the airport authority. Failure to qualify for or maintain the SIDA badge will result in termination of employment.
Horizon Air adheres to specific grooming standards, including a tattoo policy which states no visible tattoos on the face, front of the neck, or chest. Tattoos on hands are limited to one per hand, not exceeding the size of a quarter. Tattoos in other areas must not exceed the size of a credit card and must not be offensive. Specific rules apply to tattoos on the back of the neck and behind the ears, requiring them to be non-visible from a direct view. Covering tattoos with makeup is not permitted; only uniform pieces or approved jewelry/watches are allowed for covering.
The starting rate for this union-represented position is defined by the collective bargaining agreement. The first-year step rate is currently $20.66 per hour, as per the contract.
