Role Overview
Horizon Air, a premier regional airline, is seeking experienced First Officers to join its flight operations team. The First Officer is responsible for ensuring the safety and positive experience of all Horizon Air guests while maintaining the highest level of professional standards.
Key Duties and Responsibilities

Serve as Second in Command in the transport of passengers, mail, and freight.

Execute all flight operations duties, including pre-flight documentation, conduct of safe flight, and post-flight requirements.

Ensure full compliance with Federal Aviation Regulations (FAA), company flight procedures, and internal policies.

Coordinate operational tasks, including aircraft fueling, loading, and passenger handling, in accordance with the Flight Operations Manual (FOM) and applicable federal regulations.

Maintain effective Cockpit Resource Management and collaborate across all operational departments.

Uphold the company’s professional image and grooming standards as a representative of the airline.

Candidate Requirements
Required Experience and Qualifications

Minimum age of 21 years; must be authorized to work in the U.S.
-
High school diploma or equivalent.

FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate with multi-engine and instrument ratings.

Current First-Class FAA Medical Certificate and FCC Restricted Radiotelephone Operator Permit.

Valid passport allowing unrestricted travel to and from the U.S. and a valid Driver’s License.

Minimum 1,465 hours total flight time (or R-ATP qualified).

200 hours of FAA-approved Prior Qualifying Time for Part 121 operations, or equivalent as defined by FAR 121.436(a)(3).

500 hours cross-country flight time (200 hours if R-ATP or military qualified).

100 hours night flight time.

250 hours total as Pilot in Command, including 100 hours cross-country and 25 hours night flight.

75 hours instrument flight time (actual or simulated) and 25 hours multi-engine flight time.

Proficiency in English.

Willingness to work a varied schedule including weekends, holidays, and multiple days away from home.

Ability to accept base assignments in designated locations based on company needs.
Preferred Qualifications

100 hours of multi-engine flight time.

100 hours flight time within the last 12 months.

Four-year degree from an accredited university.
Total Rewards and Compensation

First-year pay rate: $92.72/hour.

Monthly pay guarantees: 75 credit hours (jet) / 73 credit hours (reserve).
