The Second in Command Pilot is responsible for assisting the Pilot in Command in the safe and efficient transport of passengers, mail, and freight for commercial purposes. This role entails meticulous attention to all aspects of flight operations, including pre-flight responsibilities, safe flight conduct, and comprehensive post-flight duties. Adherence to Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs), Company Flight Procedures, and Company Policies is paramount to ensure the utmost safety of all scheduled flights and routes.
Candidates must possess 200 hours of FAA-approved Prior Qualifying Time to serve as Pilot in Command in Part 121 operations (as defined by FAR § 121.436(a)(3)). Applicants are required to provide verifiable proof of obtaining this flight time requirement. All prior qualifying time will be rigorously verified in pilot logbooks by the System Chief Pilot and/or the Director of Operations during the interview process.
Alternatively, candidates may present 200 hours of experience as Second in Command at a Part 121 carrier (as defined by FAR § 121.436(a)(3)).
