Second in Command Pilot - Aviation
This position requires a highly motivated and experienced individual to serve as Second in Command (SIC) for a Part 121 carrier. The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of flight operations, ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of passengers, mail, freight, or other commercial cargo.
Qualifications:
- Flight Time: A minimum of 200 hours of FAA-approved Prior Qualifying Time is required to serve as Pilot in Command in Part 121 operations, as outlined in FAR § 121.436(a)(3). This flight time requirement must be verifiable through pilot logbooks.
- Prior Experience: The candidate must possess one of the following:
- 200 hours as Second in Command at a Part 121 carrier (FAR § 121.436(a)(3))
- 200 hours as Pilot in Command at a Part 91 carrier operating a multi-engine turbine-powered fixed-wing or powered-lift aircraft, holding an Airline Transport Pilot License and an applicable type rating (FAR § 91.1053(a)(2)(i))
Responsibilities:
- Flight Operations: The SIC will oversee all aspects of the flight, including pre-flight preparation, reviewing required documentation and restrictions, ensuring a safe and compliant flight, and completing post-flight duties.
- Compliance: Adherence to all Federal Aviation Regulations (FAA), Company Flight Procedures, and Company Policies is essential, ensuring flight safety across all scheduled routes.
- Coordination: The SIC will coordinate tasks to facilitate flight fueling, loading, passenger handling, and other associated duties, ensuring the safe transportation of passengers in accordance with company policies, procedures, Flight Operations Manual (FOM), FARs, and Code of Federal Regulations (CFRs).
