Position Overview: George J. Priester Aviation is facilitating the recruitment of a Pilot in Command (PIC) for a Hawker 4000 aircraft based at KIXD. This position is employed directly by one of George J. Priester Aviation’s managed aircraft clients. The successful candidate will serve as the final authority for the safe and efficient operation of the aircraft, which operates under Part 135 regulations and flies approximately 350 hours per year.

Key Responsibilities

  • Flight Operations: Exercise final authority for the safe operation of the aircraft, ensuring full compliance with FAA regulations, company flight manuals, and standard operating procedures.
  • Pre-flight Planning: Execute comprehensive pre-flight duties, including weather analysis, performance calculations, routing, fuel planning, and airworthiness verifications.
  • Crew Resource Management: Lead flight crew members with a focus on professional communication, coordination, and the promotion of a safety-oriented culture.
  • Passenger Service: Deliver premium customer service, prioritizing passenger comfort and safety while serving as the primary point of contact for clients.
  • Safety Management: Actively participate in the company’s Safety Management System (SMS), utilizing risk analysis tools to identify and mitigate operational hazards.
  • Mentorship: Provide leadership and guidance to First Officers and support staff, fostering professional development and team synergy.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate post-flight records, including trip reports, logbook entries, and maintenance reporting.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Maintain currency with all required training, medical certifications, and regulatory documentation.

Qualifications

Flight Experience Requirements

  • Total Time (TT): 3000 hours
  • PIC Time: 1500 hours
  • Multi-Engine Land (MEL): 1500 hours
  • Multi-Engine PIC: 500 hours
  • Jet Time: 500 hours
  • Instrument Flight Rules (IFR): 250 hours
  • PIC in Type: 250 hours (Preferred)

Certifications and Skills

  • Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate with multi-engine land rating.
  • Current First-Class Medical Certificate.
  • FCC Restricted Radiotelephone Operator’s Permit (Preferred).
  • Comprehensive knowledge of FAA regulations, flight planning, and aviation management software.
  • Demonstrated leadership, decision-making, and communication skills under pressure.
  • Previous experience in Part 135 operations is highly desirable.

Compensation and Benefits

The successful candidate will receive a salary range of $140,000 to $180,000 per year, with eligibility for a 15-20% performance bonus. Relocation compensation is negotiable, with qualified move allowances coordinated via the Controller.
